On that level, I wonder who were the non-re-signs that Peters felt he had to get rid of not because of talent, but to change the culture. I've never seen the kind of roster churn in one offseason that we experienced and I can't believe it was only about talent or scheme fit. Part of me recalls all the fights our players have had with coaches over the years because the coaches wanted them to learn or use a different technique. I wonder who were the guys who held that kind of stubborness who Peters thought would carry forth with them bad habits and attitude?

I think a lot of this started last season with the moving of Sweat and Young based on Harris’ decision (from counsel from others).

And I think it may continue into this offseason on the defensive line, especially.

If Garrett Wilson is available offer a 1st straight up for him. This draft class sucks and nobody in the 20s is gonna be as good as Wilson who is still super young and on a rookie deal.

Yeah, I was thinking about them, too. How many years did we hear about how our DLine was the envy of the league and the strength of the team only for them not to be able to generate pressures, sack the QB, or slow the run. We've been vulnerable up the middle and on the edge for far too long considering we had a "on paper" elite D Line. I don't think Payne has been Haynesworth bad, but he's probably a Stubble-field level disappointment.

We used to blame the runs on linebackers not filling in, but with Wagner and Luvu that excuse is gone. It's them. Too often, they can't fulfill a defensive tackle's primary responsibility.

In a lot of ways this could be a more difficult offseason than last.

Last year peters had 6 picks in the top 100 including number 2 so we had all the tools and lumber and were walking into an earthquake ravaged shithole, they did an outstanding job putting up the foundation and structure and it's beautiful but now it's sheetrock then finished carpentry time and thats a special skillset.

I have all the faith in the world our front office is up to the task and can't wait to watch this team take the next step.

I'm so glad QB Demond Williams Jr. Is not eligible for the draft for QB needy teams, I think I just witnessed a Lamar Jackson clone when watching the Washington Huskies play. He already is better than any QB coming out in the 2025 class.

I think I'm more impressed each time I watch Tyler Warren. Good God. Would love to be rooting for that guy for the next decade, but I don't see how he gets out of the top 15.

Yes he is really good. On a positive note - there are a number of pretty good RB's in this years draft that will go in rounds 2,3 and 4.

I know we could just roll with a committee backfield with BRob and either Ekeler or whoever his younger replacement is, but boy howdy seeing Barkley, Henry, and Bijan carve teams up, and seeing guys like Bucky Irving having nice early success has me wondering what a guy like that looks like on a team with Jayden Daniels.

Gonna be excited to see the measurables on some of these guys like Hampton, Johnson, Singleton etc.

Don’t forget Jacobs. Pretty amazing how much the narrative has changed in just one year, regarding the value of RBs

I keep reading this praise of Newton but I'm sure not seeing it on the field. When I do focus on him on passing downs he is constantly stopped at the LOS and gets no penetration. For what it's worth his PFF grades especially against the run, are not good.

I don’t know how he translates to the NFL, but he definitely left it all on the field for ASU. I don’t watch a lot of college football, did today because it was on.

He basically was their offense in the second half. Even threw a halfback pass for a TD.

I was impressed by his effort.

I got the exact opposite vibe. Played like a selfless stud, but gave me the selfish drama king feel. Like every white teenage bully in any movie.

Not sure why so many of you want to draft a RB. Has Brian Robinson done something badly? He is also 25 years old. I know Ekeler is on a 1-year deal but it is worth looking at bringing him back provided his health is okay. Aside from that I think that McNichols and Rodriguez have performed admirably. RB is at the very bottom of my list.

For me at least, I like BRob, and have no problem with him, but he is a strong, hard running, chain mover type of back. I’d love to complement him with a guy who has more game breaking ability, and high end speed…someone like Henderson at OSU. Also think that because of B Rob’s running style, I think he gets worn down as the season goes on. Be nice to have a back to share carries with.

Love Ekeler, but don’t know how much longer he can go on with his concussion issues. C Rod and McNichols are okay, but only as backups. Don’t think either can carry the load for an entire season, but they can be effective in spots.

I didn't watch the Skatterboom game but I was reading he has a 4.62 40time and that kinda worries me. NFL players will be much faster, stronger, bigger, and tackle better. Not sure if he'll translate. He is intriguing as like a late round grab to complement someone else.
