Official Game Thread - Week 17 - Falcons @ Commanders - SNF

You were correct. You thought they were going to lose and Lucy pulled the ball away from you at the last minute for a win.

Enjoy wallowing in your misery over another victory you were completely wrong about.
If you'd like to point out in my post where I said we wouldn't win or had no chance to, please share.
Otherwise...get bent.

Any idea if Ertz really meant it when he said "at the end of my career" in his post-game with Jayden? Could be he thinks this is his last stop on the train, but I fear he also means this is the last season on the train. I hope he doesn't retire just yet, I love how reliable he is.
I took it as acknowledgment his career is towards the back end more than the front end. Not that this was his last year.

I think he meant the end as in his last years not that he's retiring after this season. Though you never know.

I'm sure Zach knows he doesn't have much football left in him.

That was fun : )

I think he was talking about the long arc of his career and not making a specific statement about his intensions.

Play nice, all.

But seriously, everyone knows that Lucy meme represents futility and losing. I'm sure you weren't rooting for a loss, but to see us as Charlie Brown is a symptom of Norvousness. I'll admit I felt some, too. When the ref flagged us for PI giving them a shot at a game winning kick I had no doubt they would make it.

Hopefully, we can exorcise the ghosts of Norv and Snyder past.

The real ghosts I saw came when Daniels got his leg bent backwards. I saw ghosts of injured QBs and the ghost of Kirk Cousins coming back here on a cheaper contract while our future goes on hold indefinitely. If Jayden hadn't gotten up so fast, I think I would have died in my seat.

We've been Charlie Brown for 30 years. Everytime this club has had a chance to put it's best foot forward, they've blew it.

Lucy was ever present tonight and anyone who denies that is flat out lying to themselves and everyone here.

But..they kicked the ball tonight/ changed the narrative....finally! Was nice to finally see that.

I make no apologies for the picture earlier today. It's been well earned over the years.

Along with Greg Zuerlein Id like to also thank Ron for masterfully steering this ship to a 2nd worst finish last year. The right position to draft JD whom without we are a 6-7 win team. maybe. Ron, you folded arm dumb looking bastard - thank you. from the bottom of my heart thank you for all your efforts.

I have had a ton of fun this season.

And to think that this is only the beginning...

Enjoy the process and the ride as we continue to build towards the ultimate goal over the next few years.

This feels like playing with house money because nobody realistically expected this level of success.

I think 8 wins was about the rosiest prediction for this team at the start of the year.

There were some people saying 10 wins here and there, but I never took that seriously. I thought 7-8.

Edit: I was replying to someone else and don’t know how I messed up 🤪

Ertz got some extra cash to buy his mom and nice birthday gift, haha.

Someone send apologies to Bo Nix, he was SO close to rookie of the week.

11 wins in year 1 (with one to go). What a feeling!!

It's crazy that Snyder was so bad that in 25 years his teams never did it once and then the first full year after he's gone they win 11 or possibly 12.

I bet he's telling himself "if I had JD I would have won the Super Bowl" rather than acknowledging his continued cycle of toxic culture and meddling. So glad he's gone.
