Lattimore's injury

With his history, I suspect he had a very firm deal put in place that if that hammy started to tighten up at all, at any time, you let us know. And showing he is a team player, he did. He was a quick replacement before the next play started. This game was not do or die.....good move and fingers crossed.

Any word on Dyami Brown?

Quinn said that the schedule this week will be different than usual. Tomorrow will be the initial install via a half-speed walkthrough. (Cue the S&C complaints) Thursday will be the first standard and typical team practice.

There will be no updates on any injury statuses prior to Thursday and into Friday.

Utah as in Utah from ES ?

It's all because of "strength and conditioning"???
🤣🤣🤣

Reading between the lines with a PS spot being open I think we will see a CB signed in the very near future.

Not sure why we are deviating. There are games on Christmas Day.

Just a hunch but the lack of any information is probably a good thing.
the nfl is pretty fussy about trying to hide injuries and if it was serious they'd probably need to make it public sooner than 4 days after it happened.

Maybe. But I don’t think that they are required to report injury status beyond the practice report and today wasn’t a practice day, only a meeting day.

What about tomorrow?
Didn't they say we'd know more on Thursday or friday?

Quinn seemed pretty resolved that Lattimore will not play Sunday. He said the injury is an aggravation of the previous one.

Hamstrings suck. Period. I will tell you from experience that the player generally shoots themselves in the foot by not reporting when they aggravate them after coming off a rehab. They try to play through and then they do more damage that ends seasons basically. Kudos to him for tapping out in the Eagles game and minimizing the chance for disaster. I think they are playing it very carefully with this til they can get to the offseason and really rehab it. Obviously he can play on it but how important is this game compared to the possibility of needing him for a playoff run? We can win this one with out him if we have to choose.

It seems like he should probably sit out until the playoffs.

If he doesn’t come back this year and contribute it will be interesting to see if he’s going to be here long term. According to SpotTrac it says he has a 18m cap hit in 2025 with the ability to get out of it with no dead cap.

I think most of us who were young athletes at any point have probably experienced a hamstring pull. It's not something that is going to be resolved quickly. They have their own timeline in terms of eventually healing. I wouldn't count on Lattimore the rest of the way (whatever the 'rest of the way' entails). I suppose if we got to a 2nd or 3rd game in the playoffs, they might try and throw him out there again since he'd have the whole offseason to rehab it - but short of that I think he's probably done.

I don't see a hamstring issue impacting what they do with him long-term. I supposed certain players may be more prone to them chronically (especially at his position) but I think most players rehab their way past them and it's just a temporary pain in the ass to navigate.

They didn't make the trade for just this year. Having 2 more years under contract at a reasonable cost for #1 CB is part of the trade justification. They just gotta figure out how to get the hamstring under control for next year.
