Next Day Thread: That Saint Pretty

I thought he'd be good in a proper #2 role. He's actually just a #2.
Even then Sainristil, who has played 14 pro games and was not brought in to be an OCB, is a better player at the position. So I’d say he is a #3 at best but really a #4 or #5 is the reality.

Oh no, BSJ is a clear #2.

I am getting concerned with Coach's time management. That timeout at the end of the first half was beyond belief.:insane:

I was almost glad the Saints went for the win at the end instead of tying it up. They had all the momentum going into OT so the probability of us losing it there was high. IMO it was better odds for us when they decided to go for it.

Also, if our biggest problem is that we can't seem to finish a team off in the second half, I will take that problem every day of the week given that this is year one of a total rebuild.

Refs were just plain awful and the clock issue at the end should be investigated.

The difference in this team vs. past ones in recent memory - no way a Ron Rivera team fails to give up that 2 point conversion. 9 times out of 10, the typical Washington team doesn't just bend, they break in that situation. Even though the defense did allow New Orleans to climb back into the game, ultimately, they stopped them. They've done a lot of that this season.

That's a far cry from what we've seen under previous regimes.

For whatever reason I think Kingsbury may be saving mccaffrey? And sinnot for the playoffs. Or hopefully for next year. Those two could explode. I see Luke wide open just watching the TV broadcast. Not sure what's going on there. He does always seem to be a yard short when he gets his chance. By design? Hopefully

With Noah Brown out, the team views Dyami Brown as the clear #2. He played 78% of the snaps. Luke played the least snaps out of any of the WR including Crowder. If he's getting open so often then why do the coaches not like him? What's going on?

St. Juste is the odd man out, he only played 3 snaps. Needless to say, we're not bringing him back

Maybe Luke is getting open but he’s not running the proper routes. I’ve seen him open quite a few times as well. This is just a guess. Maybe they can’t trust him right now. His usage in the last game is not a good indicator of him breaking out this season.

I think Sinnot starts to show a little bit next year, but it will be year 3 before he breaks out.

There is one viable reason that the team has won 9 games, the schedule.

Arizona 7-7
Cincinnati 6-8
New Orleans 5-9
Chicago 4-9
Carolina 3-11
Cleveland 3-11
Tennessee 3-11
NYG 2-12
NYG 2-12

They took advantage of the opportunities that the schedule provided and proved that, even though they are ahead of schedule, they have a considerable way to go to become what they and all of us want them to become.

Like the old saying goes you can only play the teams on your schedule.
Although it's true our victories have come mostly against teams with poor records we're also 3 and 1 in blowouts with every other game being a one score outcome so we've proven to be able to beat the teams we're supposed to while being scrappy against the teams that probably should have smoked us.

If we had kept Rivera on as coach and gm this year there's no doubt in my mind we'd be at best 4 and 10 right now with the exact same schedule and 5 or 6 of those teams would have one more win so I'd say it's more about the culture shift and having jayden than the schedule as to why we have 9 wins.

The eagles have a similar schedule to us and were able to beat the steelers and the ravens, something we weren't able to do and it's why they have 12 wins and we only have 9 but nobody is saying they only have 12 wins because of a soft schedule.

I know we're kind of debating whether it's potayto or potahto but I think we have 9 wins because we're a good not great team not because of the schedule.
