2024/2025 Playoff Standings

How did the Rams hold the 49ers to 6 pts after allowing 42 to Buffalo and the 49ers scoring at will against the Bears who held us to 12 before the Hail Mary?

Right!? Anything goes with in-division games.

It was raining like hell.

But also the mere presence of Forbes on the sideline gave the rams secondary the confidence to go out and lock down every receiver they had.

Do you think they showed disrespect to Forbes by not starting him?

Not even a little bit.

he's only a second year player who was just released By the team who drafted him in the first round last year and he's not only a complete bust up to this point he's also still learning the defense.

Not that this is the thread for this discussion but I'd like to add something to the forbes conversation.

The rams coaches are saying they're extremely impressed with forbes so far, not surprising they're obviously not going to say bad things about him but it's got the fans thinking they may have struck gold.
I just don't see it, sure quarterbacks from time to time like darnold and mayfield bust out with their first team and can have some success in a new environment but it is extremely rare for other positions.
If our coaches, who are some of the best defensive back coaches in the league saw anything in him they would have been patient, they would have worked him along slowly.

If there's one thing quinn has been very deliberate about in his short stint here it's being extremely patient with players and giving them the time they need to either heal or learn and grow as both men and players.

The fact they gave up on him mid-season in year two is a huge indictment on forbes and if he has success in Los Angeles it's an even bigger indictment on our front office coaching staff and I don't think they're that incompetent.

Them moving in from Forbes doesn’t necessarily equate to him having no talent but they clearly determined he wasn’t going to be able to provide what they feel OUR defense needs.

Now let’s get back to the thread topic.

The race for the 3/4 and the 6/7 is interesting to me. The Seahawks and Rams are within a game of one another in that 8/9 win range through Week 15. The winner is probably the 3, but could slip to the 4 depending on how it shakes out. Similarly, whichever team comes in second, is right on Washington's heels for the 7 seed. If Washington slips up in a game they should win (New Orleans, Atlanta, or Dallas), that could open the door. But, if Washington stays hot, they could snipe the 6 from Green Bay...

Fun stuff!

I think the Rams are going to keep winning so Washington has to win 3 games at least. Lose to Dallas again or NO and it's over. I think it's about 50% that they make it to the playoffs.

Im pretty sure if we win 3 games were mathematically guaranteed a playoff spot.
2 games is where it gets shaky.

This is why i want the packers to win Sunday, sure I'd like to grab the 6 seed from them so we don't have to play the eagles or lions first round of the playoffs but more importantly I want to just make the playoffs and having the seahawks lose is better for that goal than a packers loss.
