That was absolutely a fireable offense. The time management was the worst I think I can remember and they haven’t won enough.
 
When he doubled down on his stupidity it was obvious the coach was toast. He was probably gone anyway but this hastened the move.

But looking back at it I put much of it on the rookie QB. 34 seconds is ample time to get the troops lined up, complete a 9 yard pass and call timeout. Had they called their last timeout at 34 seconds that may have eliminated the middle of the field and the defense would have taken away the sidelines. It was 3rd and really long, to compete a pass inbounds and then run out the field goal team in 34 seconds was asking for trouble.

the fault was,nt with the kid,it was the coaches fault from hc to oc.some adult should not have had his head up his ass at a vital time.
 
Timing, 9.5 cap hit next year, believe it was a good bit more if he was traded. Just more money Rivera fleeced this team for with his decisions.
 
Does this mean we're off the hook for his salary as far as cap goes?
 
He's been through two regimes, both defensive minded and the second has an army of coaches known for developing cornerbacks and despite that they released a first round pick in the middle of year two from a secondary getting torched like a s'more.

I would say it's highly unlikely the rams can rehabilitate him but I honestly hae nothing against him and hope he can turn his career around and at least become serviceable.

Ps. Thank you Mr mcvay for assisting us with ripping off one of the last band aids of the Rivera g.m. regime.
 
I think McVay remembers poaching talent from the 'skins during the Snyder years. He has taken a number of our players as have the 49ers and turned them around. Not sure if that will happen as much anymore.

forbes is worse than the guy from the 8os team who played with bowles.guy just ran by him too.

I just read that the steelers haven't finished last in their division since 1988.

That's an unbelievably impressive run.
