2023 BGO NFL Pickem Contest: Final Results

In our closest most competitive contest ever, the 2023 championship came down to tie breaker points. By predicting 51 combined points in the Super Bowl, to 55 predicted by his challenger, Kel Varnsen prevailed over China to become our champ! Both Kel and China finished with 177 total wins (getting 61.1% of all picks correct), amazing seasons by both of you. In 3rd place, just 1 win away was Canadian Hog. Congrats to all 3 of you. Thanks everyone. This is the only time I picked the Chiefs to win this playoffs. I thought for sure that their regular season mediocrity would catch up with them in the playoffs. After they beat Baltimore, I just knew I needed to stop picking against them. Funny story about the tie breaker. I never get these things close. The last time I was close to getting a Super Bowl score right was when I was 10 and the Redskins were in Super Bowl 22. We would sing some sarcastic lyrics to Hail to the Redskins and we only missed the score by a broncos touchdown.

Nah, you didn’t choke. It’s all guessing and the playoffs are hard to figure out. You said a fantastic season. I got lucky I picked opposite of you in the Super Bowl. 100% guess on my part as I could have seen either team win.
