1) defense is playing much better today...they're exploiting a bad O-line as they should. kudos D.

2) I have even more respect now for Westbrook than I did previously. DMcNabb may possibly be the worst star QB I have ever seen at the short passing game. He sucks in this area of the game.

Haynesworth is looking pretty sharp too.

Our defense is playing well but I think Chicago's offensive ineffectiveness is hurting them more than we are, honestly.

McNabb is making the short game nonexistent for us.

This team is 3 solid drafts away from even being taken seriously.

The offense basically starts at the 50 yard line for the first half and does absolutely nothing with it.

Lack of talent? You betcha.......

Can we all just agree this game didn't happen, and forget we all wasted time watching it?

Maybe Deangelo can lend Carlos one of his hands.

Hell no ! A win is a win is a win.....

The game was a complete cluster **** but we never gave up, and that's been a common theme this season.

I am fine with remembering it as a win, but I don't want to remember any particulars. That was painful to watch.

I am with you Miles! I enjoyed chatting throughout the game Goaldeje, but I gotta be happy with a win provided how poorly we played in many respects. Once again the D came through when we needed it.

This game was largely about adjustments. I know the turnovers are absolutely a huge part of the game, but I believe it is the adjustments made by D-Hall in the 2nd half.

Let me explain: In the 1st quarter, we were killing Cutler when he made the 7 step drops. Martz adjusted that in the 2nd quarter and they took the half time lead.

In the 2nd half with a completion to our 1 yard line, Lovie Smith foolishly challenges the ruling down at the one yard line, loses the challenge and then fails to challenge the apparent TD by Cutler that was ruled a fumble.

As the game progresses, D-Hall makes some adjustments to the ball knowing Cutler was going to release the ball much quicker. He went out and tied the NFL Int record.

Ya, I'm right there with ya. That was about as ugly as it gets.....

El, don't misunderstand me. I am very happy we won, just disappointed with our overall performance. As we both said in the chat numerous times, we should have won that game going away. It just seemed like we couldn't get out of our own way. We just got out of our own way a little bit more than the Bears got out of their own way. :)

Hall had a once in a lifetime game, that's for sure. Not sure why Boone hasn't showed up yet commenting on that. There were bright spots, and I am happy to get the W (especially in conference).

I with ya G-! Not trying to denounce your statement, just trying to express my joy after winning again, matching our win total from last year in less than half the season.

I believe this was about the ugliest win I have ever seen by our beloved Redskins!

I'm happy. We won. I'm very happy.

I would rather have an ugly win (today) than a pretty loss (last week).

If you are a fan of slapstick comedy you probably loved watching this game.

Between the turnovers, calling back a pick-six because of an offensive penalty, the doink off the upright, Cutler’s running right into McIntosh and landry’s showing off his volleyball skills, there was plenty of everything for everybody.

A couple of thoughts:

Given the way Haynesworth and Hall played, maybe the coaches should try a new strategy of pissing off the entire defense. It certainly worked with those two.

BTW, it’s a special sack when you force the opposing lineman to tackle his own quarterback.

McNabb was accurate early in the game when the Redskin receivers were suffering from a case of the dropies. Then when he was pressured he reverted to his usual form. Maybe after the World Series the Redskins can hire Cliff Lee to teach McNabb how to throw strikes under pressure.

Armstrong’s drop of a TD pass in our first possession and Moss TD catch were connected. Both receivers were single covered, which means that Moss is now benefiting from the Armstrong effect. Defenses can no longer just automatically roll coverage to Moss. This is certainly help us going forward.

I’ve got to think that we could pick up some first downs by having Gallaway run some comeback routes. Because when he goes deep he draws a crowd.

Torain doesn’t have the speed to get outside and shouldn’t even try. Cut it back and get what you can which in his case is quite a bit. What he lacks in burner speed he makes up for with lower body strength and balance. Teams that maintain good gap control are going to be able to stop him. Those that don’t are going to pay the price.

I’m not worried about the fumbles from Torain. It’s not as if he is carrying the ball wrong. They had a good shot of him on the last 27 yard run and he was carrying it properly. Sometimes the other team makes plays too. Now Banks. His fumbles I worry about.

Did you see the stat where we already had more return yardage on punts this year than we had all of last year? I guess they don’t count Randel El’s East-West yardage.

I like the fact that we passed on 2nd and 11 just before the 2 minute warning. A lot of teams (including Gibb’s teams) would have just run and ended up having to punt giving the opposition one last shot with time on the clock. That play actually help set up Torain’s last 27 yard run that put the stake in their heart.

I blame the Oline today. They were as bad as I can recall. I realize the Bears have a solid defense and it was a home game for them in windy conditions, That being said I don't believe Mcnabb trust his Oline or his recievers for that matter.
Cutler is suffering the same thing much like alot of Qbs this year that are playing behind a pourous Oline.
Those early drops and poor Oline play contributed heavily towards the stagnent production from the Oline. That being said I'll take the win ecspecially coupled against the first place team in another division in the NFC. Add the Eagles loss to the equation as well. Nothing but good can come from the Monday night game. Whichever team wins the Skins will benefit.

I did, and I did :)

London Fletcher is having a helluva season. Of course, no one ever seems to notice London Fletcher having a having a helluva season...

Team should not get the customary day off after a win.

Offense should have been forced to ride a bus home from Chicago.

If not made to walk.

A valuable conference win, even if it took the refs robbing Chicago of their touchdown to do it. Cutler clearly broke the plane. Lovie was a fool not to challenge.

Win is a win. I'll take it.

I don't know about 'clearly', but it was close, and they were dumb not to challenge it. I never saw a shot looking across the goal line at ground level. The shots I saw were from an angle and almost impossible to tell for sure without the straight-shot view.
