2023 - OTA/Camp thread

I gave him "C" when we saw him in camp Saturday. I gave the O-line a D+. That's the group that really scares me.
I wonder what the max grade a QB can get with a D+ line?

Makes me worry that Howell could get Ramsey'ed.

I wonder the same thing.
Howell has wheels and Hugh Jackson isn't the OC, so I'm not worried about that.

Washington needs to look for veteran OL depth at cut down time.

The DL is the team's strongest unit and this OL doesn't look as if it can compete at an NFL level with the 5 players across we consider our 'first teamers'.

Again, it's a bit concerning that a guy that was the Giants #3 center is 'penciled' in to start here and a former #7 pick in Chris Paul with a couple of games of experience last year is our sole healthy option at LG.

Rivera pumping up Brissett and saying Howell isn't locked in to be the starter...

I swear we find the coaches who don't know how to just give vanilla answers. They all seem to love just talking and talking. I miss the days of Gibbs and belicheck just stonewalling reporters to the point where they didn't ask those kinds of things.

I didn’t hear it that way. He said ‘Don’t sleep on Brissett’. I thought he just meant that Brissett was also playing well, not that he was implying Howell wasn’t doing enough to be the presumed starter.

I could be totally wrong but that’s how it came across to me. I’m with you though, I wish Rivera talked a little less or was more aware of what he’s saying.

Rivera has made it clear he believes in Howell’s potential, but he will not be handed the starting job. Washington’s offseason mission was to sign a veteran with starting experience who could compete with Howell while also serving as a mentor.

Exactly right.

Looks like Paul is doing everything he can to take the job...

Charles is hurt?! Shocking!!

We have been waiting on Saahdiq Charles for the better part of 3 years.

Even if Paul claims the starting job and looks competent we need someone coming off the bench for depth in case of injury.

I would not count on Charles.

Pete Hailey was on the radio this morning and was giving some really glowing reviews of Chase Young. I hope it's true...

This is the first time i've seen/heard beat guys pointing him out (could have missed it) specifically.
