Who wins the big game on February 12, 2023?

And of course, in the comments, why? :)

Bengals.
It's because it would chafe the Ravens fans nuts, and that's good enough for me.

I kinda want the '49ers to take it just because Purdy is that good a Cinderella story. Before this, I would have enjoyed the hard luck Bills to make it. Talk about the perpetual bridesmaid team.

I want the Bengals to win, Cincy fans have suffered forever and were close in the 80's but ran up against the Joe Cool and crew twice. Plus I've tailgated there many moons ago when I was in Ohio and those people were fun as hell supporting the worst team in football, well before the remade Browns came back.

In order of preference, now that you've made me think about it ...

Bengals - it's always cool to watch the fan base of a team that has never won a SB experience that moment they realize it is finally, actually, really happening. Plus I'm Burrow guy.

Chiefs - because Mahomes. And big Andy. And that the team has been a semi-secret second favorite if mine since they beat the Vikings in SB IV back in 1938.

49ers - as noted above, because it would mean we got to witness first-hand in real time one of the great storylines in recent sports history. Not just another Purdy face.

Eagles - because F Philly.

Okay, I'll change my vote to the Bengals, too. The petty part of me would be happy not to see Trent Williams get a ring ;)

PSA: Question is who do you *think will win* although who we want to win is good discussion too :)

Chances of winning for me:
Bengals
Eagles
Chiefs
San Fran

Want to win:
Bengals
San Fran
Chiefs
Eagles

I never was very good at following directions. :)

As of this morning, I'm wavering between the Bengals and Eagles. Cincy because they display no obvious Achilles, have the hottest/coolest QB in football, keep exceeding expectations and simply kicking people's asses ... and Philly because--except for a brief period late in the year when they were without their QB--they've been the best team in football all year, and they totally trucked the Giants, who came into that Divisional game on a roll as well.

I have a pretty good idea which way I'll go but will make my final prediction before game time Sunday.

I'm goin with Bengals. They flat out punched Buffalo in the mouth in a game that I expected to be an emotional buzz. Mahomes is nicked up, so I seriously wonder if KC can hang in the conference championships.

IF they beat the Chiefs, I dont think either the Eagles, or the 49ers are going to be able to hang if Cincy can be explosive....

I got a glimpse into my childhood tonight seeing my 11 year old crying tears of joy after the Chiefs' defeated the Bengals. So happy for my little Sammy. I was laying in a hospital bed when his Chiefs played in the Super Bowl vs. Tampa and never got to experience the game by his side. Let's just say that I am going to be cheering on KC as hard as my son will be in a couple weeks vs. the filth team from Philly.

Gutsy performance by Mahomes. That play at the end was huge. Just being able to scramble for that first down and get out of bounds with no timeouts. The penalty was obviously dumb and helped. But he put it all on the line to get that first down.

A side of the locker room we rarely see...

I'm a fan of BJ Hill now...

Gotta be honest - I so despise the Eagles and the Mahommes/Kelce hype makes me so ill, I don't even plan on watching this Super Bowl. Couple drive by thoughts on the games yesterday...

If you end up having to use Josh Johnson under center in a playoff game, you are truly ****ed.
No QB is talented enough to overcome a truly bad OL performance.
Travis Kelce is one of the biggest tools in the NFL.
The Eagles are the most dominant team of the 2022 season, by a wide margin.
The Bengals need to add an elite running back if they want to break through in 2023. Mixon and Perine aren't it.
While I don't think the officials *won* the game for the Chiefs, they were far too active and inconsistent in that game and came close to ruining it for fans/viewers. Excessive penalties is a real problem and in the age of legal gambling raise a lot of questions.
Defense doesn't win championships if you can't score points.

And finally, Never go in against Om when the Crystal Ball Championship is on the line!

Nice guy, and awesome that his teammates have his back. Bengals are a class group overall from coaches on down which is why I was rooting for them.

No guarantee even if he doesn't make that mistake that the Chiefs, with a first down and probably time for another play before attempting a possibly longer FG, still don't end up winning. But that was brutal.

The ad companies hired to make the commercials will win the Superbowl!

I'd prefer the Chiefs to win, but fear the Eagles will. Better defense and more weapons.

Kind of where I am Burgold.

Same. Rooting Chiefs, betting Eagles.
