You absolutely could be right. But if there is some smoking gun yet to be learned you could also be totally wrong.

I’m probably overstating my case. I think we could know before January who the new owner will be. If that is the case we could see a lot of changes before next season.

They could decide to keep the current front office and staff at least for a season to evaluate them. Impossible to guess what’s about to happen.
 
From the research I did on the last 3 teams sold, the bidding process is usually the most time-consuming piece. In each case, once a bid was selected, the transfer didn't take that long. The only exception I saw was Tepper and he had to sell his minority shares of the Steelers before he could complete the purchase of the Panthers. Bidding, however, was a process of 4 months or more in each case. The thing that seems to delay transfer once a bid is selected is the proximity to a league meeting where the owners can vote. That appears to be something they only do in person.

Now, if Snyder has been working on this secretly for a couple of months already...

That NY Post article yesterday said that the Bezos bid was expected in January. I’ve been expecting faster movemnt than that.
 
I just wondered with as bad as the Snyder stuff has been and feeling that the NFL may want this done ‘sooner rather than later’ if it might well be an expedited sale.

There may be more than a little wishful thinking mixed on there though :)
 
They may be waiting to get the exorcism, fumigation and counseling contracts lined up and ready to go before pulling the trigger.

It may be a courtesy. The NFL might prefer it if this was not done in season.
 
If you believe the Glazer report, he insinuated that the vote would likely happen at the owners meetins in March.

The NFL probably doesn't have any reason to push it the same way we do. They don't care if Rivera and Wright are in place next year (in fact, it's been widely speculated that they're plants by the NFL, or at a minimum Dan was instructed to 'strongly consider' them as options). We as fans can't wait to celebrate the day Snyder is no longer the owner, and if we could do it tomorrow... we all would do it, if for no other reason... it means it happens. Waiting just lets doubt creep into our minds, even if inevitibly the result is the same.
 
Rivera hasn’t made a case to continue as the Team President.

The top players on the team - Terry, Jonathan Allen, Tress Way, Sweat, etc we’re all here before Ron arrived.

I don’t know if he gets another year as HC to prove himself to new owner but a NAME GM seems in the offing when you are spending $7B.

it's a huge point.

If it was me, I would consider moving Rivera over to the business side and replacing Wright. He could have Doug Williams report to him, but he manages the PR and fan relation side if he chose to. Even that may be a stretch with how terribly the connection between the team / fans has been over the last 3 years, and we've been lead to believe Rivera is supposed to be the big cheese over there. I dont necessarily think that's true... as I think Rivera has tried to focus on football and Wright is more 'letting him know' and the is including him in the overall process..
