Random Commanders Thoughts

Are you guys saying I shouldn't buy my next luxury sports car from Jack Del Rio's Used Yugos?

Rouillier to IR and we sign a vet center

I say we ship young our KKK posting LB to someone for their best backup offensive lineman…

Lot of dinged up linemen for us on both sides of the ball.

One thing that has impressed me for a long time about the Eagles, and they seem to almost always have short injury lists.
In fact, I frequently see them go into games with no injuries.
It's like that organization is doing something right, when it comes to preparing their players
And one thing about the Lions that impressed me, is I understand their OLine was playing with backups. Yet they still way out-performed our OLine, which I believe was only missing 1 starter.

Or they are hiding them.

Getting battle ready

The San Francisco 49ers had the parameters of a trade agreement in place that would have sent Jimmy Garoppolo to the Washington Commanders at this year's scouting combine, but the deal fell apart once the quarterback decided to have shoulder surgery, sources told ESPN. The deal would have involved multiple draft picks, according to sources, but was disrupted by the surgery to Garoppolo's throwing shoulder, which prompted the Commanders to move on from their talks with the Niners and trade two third-round picks and a fourth-round pick to the Indianapolis Colts for Carson Wentz. The 49ers were fortunate that Garoppolo had the surgery and didn't wind up in Washington. They now will need him to replace Trey Lance, who is out for the season after suffering a fractured fibula and ligament disruption -- the same injury that both Derek Carr and Marcus Mariota suffered on the same day during the 2016 season. Based on their recovery timelines, Lance is expected to return in time for the 2023 season.

i figured we would kick the tires, but had no idea we were that close.

It's the "multiple draft picks" part that gets me. Jimmy is already extremely overpaid...we might have been screwed with that and lost draft picks, too.

The decision making from this org is baffling

yeah, i imagine the package was the same one for Wentz... and to be honest, I feel better about getting Wentz for that package than I would have Jimmy G..

That's not to argue Jimmy G can't win, I just dont have the confidence that this coaching staff can win with him. With the big concern of Wentz playing 'hero' ball, I think a lot of this offensive success has been in spite of the coaching as sad as that sounds. Wentz going off script, taking some chances the coaches may not agree with, and having the arm strength has pushed him to the top of the league statistically... I dont think we see that with Jimmy G.

You folks are too impatient. I mean what's thirty years? Everyone knows a true rebuild takes at least forty years!

It could be a Rosh Hahahana-inspired post.

From the files of ‘Shit you won’t believe and don’t want to hear’…

Yes, the pinnacle of achievement in the Dan Snyder Era is to play well for half a season, limp into the playoffs and lose in the first round.

Once every five years.

Sounds about right.

At least it's better than being a Jets fan.
They've gone 12 years without even a playoff appearance.
Weeee're not the Jets, my friend.
And weee'll be 2nd worst, til the end.
