hiding profits from the league? lets be real, sexual harassment of front office and cheerleaders wasnt enough, a culture of toxicity wasnt enough, but when you mess with peoples money.....
I can only hope that this is the last straw, that whoever buys the team is better, but its too little too late for me.

Me too. Unfortunately - this is being alleged by at best a lower level VP who may not have the evidence to prove it. I hope he does but I’m a little discouraged that he may not be able to back up what he’s alleging…

Anything from the WaPo (first story I saw) I'm skeptical, and not just in relation to the Washington Commanders. The NFL probably has some of the best and strictest accountants in their corporate offices, I can't imagine they wouldn't catch this in the early stages. Our corporate accounting office catches pennies that are off and we're nowhere near the size of the NFL.

Lot of corporate folks in prison because they thought they could (and often did) fool auditors.

Yes through fictitious book keeping and false SEC filings, this would be the NFL missing basic math 48,000 fans @ avg price $65 = X then multiply by 40%. How one could hide that is beyond me, the only thing you could do is understate the crowd (all tickets are scanned) or understate the average cost but again tickets are scanned. I just don't see it but as with all things when a story breaks it evolves so we'll see where it goes.

I understand and share your cynicism, gents.

However, if there is one human on the planet I trust to find a way to cheat an uncheatable system it's Danny. Just seems like his superpower.

Unless there is some verbage that allowed a sneaky loophole type of thing to omit certain sales like suites or something. I could see them trying to mask the whole 'club level' as suite sales... if I'm not mistaken, it came out years ago that they didnt include the club level in classifying a 'sell out' or something like that, so you wonder how deep it goes.

I think the one thing missing in this analysis of the situation is that Dan Snyder is not smart. He's done all sorts of things that he should not have done that have pointed the finger at himself and made himself appear guilty. Him and Bruce Allen could even screw up a stadium deal. When's the last time any major sports' franchise was so inept that not only could they not get the deal done, but their suitors started to lower their bids.

I think the combo of hubris and stupidity could leave Snyder open to discovery if he is indeed guilty of wrongdoing here. The question isn't whether he's smart enough to cover it up, but does the NFL or the government have the will to actually pursue it. If they have the will I bet they can find the evidence they're looking for.

I have read that the revenue from premium tickets like suites and club seating are not part of the sharing pool.

Oh, you are absolutely totally crazy. That was never in question.

I have no faith Snyder will be removed. I lost all my passion for the organization with the sexual harrassment scandal. The fact that the league gives two shits about women tells me all I need to know about the sport and where I should expend my energy, and that is no longer with this clusterfuck dumpster fire joke of an organization and this just the business of football in general.

I totally understand your feelings, I just prefer speaking out aggressively on social media and trying to apply pressure on Snyder and the rest of the NFL Va just opting out which I’m skeptical HS any effect (there will always be plenty of fans who don’t care and will financially support pro football).

Howdy all. One can hope theres a last straw. Only thing to bring me back is Snyder being gone.

I get it. I am actually grateful for people like you and my brother who do continue to speak out. Whether it has any effect or not (I tend to think that constant pressure from fans is a good thing), it shows your character and people like you and some other owners are the reason I occasionally come back to this site. I respect you guys and want to see what you have to say on various issues. :)
