Random Commanders Thoughts

Lavar was a freak of an athlete. He was fast, strong, and mean. He just could never learn a playbook so he failed out.

Hopefully his bitterness is done if he's going to speak to younger players.

What could've been.
He had so much potential......

I think I've shared this before. When I covered the team, Arrington was a total diva in the locker room. Unlike other players, who would willingly answer whatever reporter questions were asked. Lavar would go over to his locker, put his headphones in, and make reporters wait for 20+ minutes just to ask him a question. You could tell he enjoyed doing it too. I think there were only 2 things that held him back from being a great player - his attitude and his self-centered mindset. I didn't get the sense that his teammates were crazy about him either.

My memory of Lavar would be a great play, followed by out of position on the next 6.

At some point in this draft they have to take a speedy wideout imo. Anything to open up others and push it down field.

we have that, his name is Terry McLaurin. I don't think we've even been able to see his true abilities yet (which could be a factor in why he hasnt signed an extension BTW... it may not be the team draggin their feet), and we could see a further evolution of that part of his game with a bigger arm under center.

Dyami Brown had his fair share of free releases last year also that Heinicke never attempted a throw to.. That may be because he didn't see him, or he didn't have the arm to make the throw, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see that kind of a role carved out for Dyami this year either.

I'm not OPPOSED to getting more, speed, i'm not trying to debunk your comment... just saying we have weapons that can push the field on the roster. I always want to get faster, and i've circled Treylon Burks as my top guy on my wish list at 11. His 40 time doesn't tell the story of his ability as he was routinely running away from SEC defenders. If we draft him, I do hope we dont limit him because he's a big bodied guy and try to turn him into a TE lite...

If Curtis Samuel is the guy he was in Carolina going forward, Dyami Brown can actually be a consistent performer with a stronger-armed QB under center, if Cam Sims can continue to progress, and if if Logan Thomas can stay on the field, that's a stocked group of offensive weapons. I think if we made a play for a upper echelon WR or draft one, that's insurance against some of that not panning out.

Lots of 'if's' there but I dont think any of them is on unrealistic possibility.

NFL network showing the Eagles at the Redskins in 2019. Carson Wentz at quarterback for Philly.

100% true statement on Terry, Brown & Samuel. After this past season though I wouldn’t depend on Samuel for more than a handful of games. We need to stack the deck in just in case we have another next man ups next season.

Having 2 burners would open a hell of a lot of Realestate up for Logan & Bates. Wouldn’t be too surprised if those TE’s get lots of balls thrown at em….almost as many as Goal’s mom!

Yeah i intentionally left Samuel off because at this point we've seen almost nothing in our uni.. I will say we've seen enough in Carolina to know he's got the goods, it's going to be health and body...

Local school wrestling club here. I just found out one of my buddies kids wrestles out of there so I'm gonna try to get me a shirt.

Says they get no harassment at all.

Kiper’s mock has us taking Stingly, CB from LSU. Dude has missed a shit ton of games there and we dont need that in our lives. #HardPass

"commanders considered trying to convince Andre luck to come out of retirement per sources"

I find it hard to believe they would think a QB who was beaten down and out of the league is better than Taylor. Or at least I hope so.

There’s no shortage of bewildering shit coming from this staff.

Flagship Redskins radio station just quit.

Silly me. I was under the impression that the NFL had a salary cap.

I was wrong.

Cam has been hitting Wentz up already to get more opportunities. IMHO it’s good to see, he’s either gained some confidence/excitement, or sick of Turner not calling on him.
