Random Commanders Thoughts

I don’t care why they fixed the crest or if they ever apologize for it. I’m just glad it’s fixed.

I'm with Boone.

These guys are much closer to Snidley Whiplash than they are to Dr. No.

Except when the real scandals are around. Snyder has successfully avoided getting the Weinstein. People look at Weinstein as a devil and no laughing matter. People look at Snyder as a clown and don't take him seriously. Maybe if Epstein ran Fat Bob's Secret instead of Victoria's Secret, he'd also be looked at as a clown.
It's basic PR and damage control.

The mistake was intentionally done to consume tv segments and news articles. Less exposure to the real dirt on a the team.

Yeah I can see a bit of that too. I still think Wright isn’t the greatest team president choice Ron coulda made.

Sorry - but given the choice between 'diabolically clever' and 'incompetent', I know which gets my vote :)

I say the same things about the refs. There isn’t a ref conspiracy against teams, they just suck at their jobs.

Wasn’t that what Ax used to call Cousins?

Snyder has avoided the Weinstein because he isn't being accused by famous people and so far no one has even suggested he raped anyone. While an unwelcome, inappropriate game of slap and tickle under the table or a voyeuristic video of employees are very bad and deserve a significant level of scrutiny and punishment, everything at Ashburn pales a bit beside the rapes of numerous women. Then give those same women fame, wealth, their own power, and a platform from which to hunt and you create a situation from which it is hard to escape.

The women currently hunting Dan are not wealthy or famous or powerful. They are, in fact, relying on pro bono legal counsel. Perhaps the most difficult part of this is that it is viewed as somewhat regional in nature. Most folks here in Dallas couldn't care less about it so long as it isn't their NFL team in the news. You don't see Megan or any of the other women accusing Dan on Opra or The View or Ellen. You did with Weinstein.

Very different political animals.

Unsanctioned voyeuristic video - that’s yet TBD. He may well have sanctioned it which would be criminal.

How are the folks in Dallas reacting to the Darlymple story?

It has disappeared, Chris. Like it never happened.

I think that would be different if the guy still worked for them but he doesn't and it's old news so...

I meant unsanctioned by those in it but I can see the confusion in my wording.

I absolutely believe Snyder sanctioned it. Ordered it even.

This seems like a pretty easy inquiry to me. Put the videographer at the time under oath and straight up ask who ordered it. The video chain of command alone would be enough to rid the team of Caligula, if it turns out he did order it.

Larry Michael is the guy who needs to be subpoenaed as he knows all the dirt and having been one of the ones ushered out as a scapegoat might have something to say.

He probably signed an NDA.

Was it Larry who was in charge of video production? If so he’d definitely know who was involved, if not directly himself.
