Random Commanders Thoughts

I'm no conspiracy theorist..but, we start beating the popular teams and suddenly we all end up on the list.

That big mandate and all those positives....

Sorry, but something isn't adding up. It's almost like they're testing positive for a strain they can't detect...

I think it was Jon Keim that tweeted the other day that the majority of the positives (across the NFL) were contracted outside football facilities. Not sure if that changes with this many now being positive or not.

How do they know that? Seriously. Unless you know you are around someone who has it, how do you know where you get it? Maybe all these players can say “I was around this person who had it”, but with as wide spread as COVID is, I don’t think people know who they got it from. Especially in this case if it was supposedly contracted outside the facility.

Not following you Dixie… how could Keim or anyone else determine where someone contracted COVID?

Sorry, asked and answered :)
Said it yesterday - the NFL has either dropped the ball completely on adhering to precautions or it’s possible that despite being in open air, the contact in practice and gameplay is just too close to prevent it.

Not John Keim, but Adam Schefter. Again, don't know what their protocol is, but maybe they are doing contact tracing? Or maybe making it up. :)

Allen and Settle are vaccinated and can return after 2 negative tests in 48 hours.

Fuller is unvaccinated and is ineligible to play on Sunday no matter testing results.

Doc Walker dishes out some very tough love on the latest episode of The Keim Report podcast.

Ionnaidis just added to the list

My understanding is that you can continue to test positive up to 90 days after an infection, so I’m not sure even vaccinated players have much chance of playing in the short term.

Unless any are false positives. I have several friends that tested positive and then negative 2-3 days later. At least with the vaccinated there is that chance.

Keim reported that people close to Allen passed on that he has no symptoms.

But that’s not what has been happening in the NFL. Vaccinated players have tested positive on Monday and have played that same weekend. To the best of my recollection, only a few unvaccinated players have missed 2 games and I think they had a Sunday/Thursday game so they couldn’t meet the minimum of 10 days for unvaccinated players. But for the most part, vaccinated players have missed at most 1 game with several not missing a game at all. The only reason I know this is from fantasy football and tracking players going on and off the list.

We just signed a QB - another shoe probably about to drop. Sigh.

Well - without knowing details it’s hard to say (like which test are they administering - there are numerous versions and they are not all equal). My point is that (unless the initial test was a false positive) it CAN take up to 90 days to show negative again. Vaccination may impact that too but I won’t go there :) I’m skeptical ANY of these guys will be available on Sunday.

My opinion - we lose this one to Philly we are done.
