BGO Fantasy Football League

I'm seeing 11 teams listed.

This has been at least a moderate PITA to coordinate. Thanks for doin' it, jrock. And man, brother. I can't WAIT to see you on Sunday!

I am confused at how many teams you have right now. I don't want to sign up if you have 10 teams, but if you are at 11, then I will sign up.....let me know as soon as you can.

Sorry TO, Mike wants out apparently, meaning we'll have 10. Unless WyldRedskins signs up in the next hour or so, we won't need you. You were hesitant to join anyway, so its no big deal.

yes, out for sure.

Sorry to hear that man.

No prob. Just trying to help in case others wanted to play. I will check back periodically.

I find it funny that your password is the same as a password I used for one of the other leagues.

Ha, thanks. I do enjoy FF, so its not a big deal to me.

I removed Mike per his request and capped it at 10 teams. We are set to go in 1.5 hours!

Now, Sons of Anarchy season 3 premiere!

Outstanding. Unfortunately, I threw away everything I used to do my brother's fantasy draft. I got him a nice team in a 12-team league....Rivers, Michael Turner, Shonn Greene and Matt Forte, Calvin Johnson, Sims-Walker, Celek AND Jermichael Finley, Ravens D, etc.

I have a feeling I snagged him a better team than I'll get for myself. The primary reason being.....you guys actually know football.

Glad for the later start. Would have missed the 9.30 kickoff by about ten miuntes.

Draft order (randomly generated by Yahoo!):
1. Om
2. MisterPinstripe
3. beamish
4. Sisyphus
5. Loyal Skins Fan
6. Chester Shooters (BGO name?)
7. Boone
8. honorary_hog
9. tomwvr
10. Lanky

Sorry, asleep when you asked. Chester Shooter is me.

And seriously, I have Favre as a QB? Shoot(er) me now...

Best draft nominee? Worst draft nominee?

I nominate BigMike for worst draft, for wussing out. ;)

I completely missed the draft, but I am pretty happy overall with it considering it was autopick for me.

I honestly didn't know what I was doing and I was THERE for the draft :) Now I just have to figure out how to play the actual game....

Well, you have to start by calling the teams for every player that you drafted, installing your offense over the phone, and then traveling to each city to get your players' signed scorecards. (It's like golf, your points aren't official until all of your scorecards are reviewed. You think it's a pain for you? Imagine what Jaimie has to go through.)

sorry fellas, i dunno what happened, but i've been banished from yahoo...

Did you try calling them? That's pretty bizarre... Have you been sending cell phone pics of your genitals again? Hope you get it worked out - you're my 'opponent' this week I believe.

How did I miss an opportunity to play with Boone while he is losing his virginity?

I am totally bummed I am not in this adventure.

couldn't find a phone# that's why i sent them the email -- at this point, i'm not motivated to try to resolve the issue.

Well, if we can't figure out beamish's situation, you can probably take over his team, or at least be a 'co-manager.'

Weekly Score Report:

The Fat Alberts 134.32, Om Buds Man 103.98
(Lanky Livingston vs. Om)

Upstart newbie Om led most of the way, until Monday night's final game when Phillip Rivers and Jamaal Charles put the wordsmith to bed. Good showing however - Om Buds Man looks to be a tough opponent this season. I was kicking myself for leaving Arian Foster's 45 points on the bench, but felt a little better seeing Matt Forte put up 31.

Chester Shooters 82.44, LSF 65.48
(Goaldeje vs. Loyal Skins Fan)

Miles Austin's 23 points proved to be the difference for Chester. Lucky the Redskins won, or you'd be persona non-grata around here! Austin Collie's 131 yards and a score went unused on LSF's bench.

Shanahanigans 100.32, WheresRickySanders? 80.68
(MisterPinstripe vs. honorary_hog)

Shanahanigans looks to be a dangerous opponent this season, as they put up a hundo, even with an inactive player on their starting roster. Hog left the perennially under-performing McFadden on the bench, and it cost him. He will now probably start for WRS? next week and proceed to lay a goose egg.

newb-annihilation 72.92, beamish 70.56
(Boone vs. beamish)

Not quite annihilation, but this newb certainly won. With the uncertain status of beamish, will someone step up to run his team for him? He was ruined by Kevin Kolb leaving the game early, and putting up .06 points. Eli Manning's 23 points were wasted on the bench.

Absurd Philosophy 105.28, dwarves of Moria 96.82
(Sisyphus vs. tomwvr)

13.2 points from Ray Rice, Ryan Mathews and the Chargers' defense proved to be the difference for Absurd Philosophy in this one. There was probably little doubt of the outcome going into Monday night, however it proved closer than it could have been. More pressing: was Ryan Mathews' disappointing debut a sign of things to come? Or simply a stumbling block that he will blast through next week vs. Jacksonville?
