Thanks for Supporting BGO!

First off....Ch good on ya, I'm glad you are on the other side of it!

2nd... I must echo the relief and joy over this news. I was pretty bummed and felt I probably could have done a lot more the last year or two to help out around here. So that said here is MY commitment going forward. I will be active...that's the biggest commitment we can all make. Even when our team sucks we need to remain active to keep the engine chugging along at BGO.

In addition, I know you have graphics guys but I also know from expereince that we get busy, so anything I can help with building graphics etc let me know.

Like CH I am happy to see 2019 in the rear view. My mother in law died suddenly, and I had a player's mom die suddenly in her 40's a few weeks earlier on one of the soccer teams I coach. That along with a boatload of other crappy news made this the worst year in my adult lifetime. So buh-bye! Let's make it a great year CH!

Wow..... I wake up to find Rivera is official, it seems we have Del Rio as DC and BGO will stay around. Great morning and I'm so glad you've found a way to work it out. I will do my part to help!

And CH, I had no idea about that, but glad to hear you got through it!

First off that's outstanding news Canadian Hog! Stay positive brother we're all praying for you.

Man you guys are awesome, absolutely love hearing BGO will stay open! This goes right along with the hiring and firing going on at redskin park this week. Seems we can all be thankful that bitch known as 2019 is over and done with.

No doubt we can all chip in a few bucks to keep this sucka afloat, done & done. For us computer illiterates though, is there any assistance needed in reaching out & drumming up sponsors? Or anything?

I am updating the original post to recognize gifts we receive. We appreciate every one of them!

Guilt free zone brother - we all have real lives and sometimes have to focus on that. Sorry to hear about 2019 - bound to be a better year coming. I will definitely keep you in mind on graphics. With a new site, we are bound to need some help. I do a lot of them but my skills are nowhere near @Miles Monroe and your own.

I was about to say earlier, I would have been willing to stay with the site, even if it meant downgrading to a "super basic, budget site" with zero bells and whistles, in order to stay within budget.

It's going to be a nice site. There may be some features that simply aren't available on the new platform, but overall it is much more user friendly, has a great mobile app, and will be far more stable and usable than vBulletin which we'll be saying goodbye to.

Does this mean Art will have restrictions now? ;)

You know where to find me if you need something :)

We are working on a comprehensive and exhaustive list of oppressive 'Rules' for the new site so we can be more consistent with other 'real' Redskins forums. We will be looking to replace all of our current moderators with people willing to enthusiastically lord over our membership, continuously cite rules violations, and generally hold everyone, including the owners, in contempt.

I have not been active for quite a while. The constant state of pathetic organizational realities drove me off the team (and off an emotional cliff).

However, I am a loyal individual with renewed optimism (ok, Charlie Brown) and will ride or die with the powers that be here.

Been a great couple of days - best part is seeing folks pop-in we haven't seen in awhile. You will always be a huge part of this place Monte Coleman :)

Excellent. Perhaps a new name as well? I suggest "BGT" Burgundy and Gold Taliban. Or BGK. Burgundy and Gold Karen. The kids seem to like that these days. :)

Done. Didn't see how to include my BGO username with the donation, but I signed up for a monthly recurring donation.

Thank you - so awesome!

I just gave. I had no idea how to add any comments or anything like that. It was basically select an amount, login, and confirm. That's the most important part. The recognition is not that important.

We got it - thanks so much Kel! The following folks have given today, and we've raised $800 for which we're so appreciative. Keep it coming people!

Btw - one of the reasons we have struggled somewhat funding the site is that we hate to ask folks to give. We still hate to ask folks for money, but it's something we are just going to have to do going forward. The good news is that if everyone contributes a little occasionally, it is manageable.

@servumtuum - Robert is/was wonderful. Not really sure what's been going on with him. I took it over for him for a season or so. A lot of work to put those together. If he stays offsite, I may resurrect it on the new site.

Boone or whoever designs the site if any help is needed I have 10 years graphic design and web design so I would love to help in any way.
