Random Commanders Thoughts

I thought that too. It kind of looked like his finger got momentarily caught as part of incidental contact. I thought that was a harsh penalty.

Not as bad as the Intentional Grounding call on Cousins that ruined the game!

UPDATE! Just seen this:

WE WOZ ROBBED!

Honestly this would NOT surprise me in the slightest.

Our Offense is finally clicking.
Our schedule is softening.
Our Defense SHOULD be playing with purpose after the last two weeks.

I could see a 6-0 or 5-1 run to close out the season.

So, basically what our season hinges on, is how this team responds to a demoralizing loss.
Do they become demoralized, and begin to play uninspired the rest of the way out ?
Or do they let it anger and motivate them and bounce back with a nice run ?

Yesterday just wiped Redskins nation out I guess. This place is the most "dead" I think I have ever seen it on a Monday following a game. :(

Personally I've never given up on the uniform. But after yesterday I'm close. Being a Skins fan I'm used to being punched in the gut like that, THAT game though was particularly brutal.

Exhaustion Bob, just pure exhaustion, plus liver recovery is my thing lol

And on their remaining schedule only Dallas has more wins (5) than Washington. Although that could change tonight if AZ beats Seattle then they'd get their 5th win.

About the time D Hall came back right?

Man could he not cover anyone yesterday. It seemed like every throw in the last 4 minutes was against him. I know it wasn't, but he was trailing in coverage a lot in crunch time.

After the offensive and defensive line injuries I thought this was a season of adversity. Gut out a couple of weeks and try and finish strong.

After seeing Thompson get hurt yesterday I am now convinced it's simply a cursed campaign.

There is not much Manusky or Gruden can do at this point with perhaps 10-12 healthy players on the roster ( an exaggeration but only a slight one).

You need to shut Trent down and make sure he gets in so he can rehab in time for next season.

It's not our year. May be a tough pill to swallow after falling flat at home to the Giants last year, but that's where we are at realistically.

Will all of the adversity make any potential deal with Kirk still a bit of a crapshoot when handicapping what he can do in ‘big games'?

To a degree. But then again he did throw 3 touchdowns with no picks against the Saints without the health of 3 of his 5 starting linemen, his starting running back, his third down back and his top receiving tight end.

So, it's a fairly good bet that with healthy linemen, Reed, Thompson and an upgrade at wide receiver he can be successful if they bring him back in 2018.

The question remains whether in today's game you can afford to pay a guy top level wages if he can't help stir the drink on his own the way the elite players have done.

If we lose to the Giants Thursday, I'm farting in Gruden's general direction.

Glad to have voices of reason to reflect upon, cause I lost all reason after that loss. This has definitely been one snakebite of a season. As much as I hate it, there really isn't a realistic hope of doing anything this year. Toss W-L out the window. Get big Trent healed up as BT suggested. Hell tank the rest of the way for all it matters at this point. I'd rather have a higher pick then end with a winning season that provided no benefit other than less losses to suffer through. If Kirk bails, use the pick on one a replacement. Hopefully they can get Kirk signed to a contract and end that mess. He's had some good games and rallied the team for what should have been some game winners had the D held. And he's done it without a solid runner or receiving targets. There's 31 other teams that would sign him if they had the need IMO. Hate to see him get away.
