This team doesn't have enough talent on it to be a true Super Bowl contender, but I get the feeling that if we replaced Gruden with a younger Bill Parcells this team's effort and performance would improve 50%.

The Redskins are playing as if they need someone to yell in their collective ears.

Reiter was never on the radar screen when it came to solving our problems at center.

Reading his bio coming out of school, I was not impressed by him. The fact he went from 255 to 295 to try to make it in the NFL shows how much of a long-shot he was.

Besides, if the team had to go with Josh LeRibeus when Kory went down last year and Reiter still wasn't good enough to be on the 53 man roster that says a lot.

Funny, players like Robinson who really have no room to talk are often times the guys with the most to say after leaving.

Here's my take on Robinson:

Keenan was a guy that the Redskins drafted and waited on for 2 years through a succession of injuries. He finally got on the field and had one solid season at inside linebacker but then failed to come back and solidify his standing in that role and earn a new contract in his walk year.

He may have his peeves on things he didn't like, but at the same time the Redskins paid him for 2 years when he made no contributions on the field.

One way to look at it is he should be grateful the Redskins invested the pick in him and paid him to develop his game at the NFL level.

The New York Giants certainly didn't do that. They passed him by in the draft for players they thought were better prospects.

Well, I'm not going to waste a lot of time on Keenan Robinson, but a couple quick thoughts spring to mind ...

One, I'd be interested to see the Redskins take on whether he "fled," or whether they simply moved on after he proved to be less than the sum of his parts and eventually lost is job to undrafted FA Will Compton.

Two, ANY team that is losing is going to have issues in the locker room. The only surprising thing about this "story" to me is that the man decided to talk at all ... and then keep talking ... and talking ...

It is as far as I'm concerned. At least insofar as possible playoff hopes given the divisional impact of starting the season three full games behind NY, with a home loss already on the books against Dallas.

As far as the big picture view of the team, and Kirk's development, at 0-3 I would shift my focus from the playoff implications in 2016 to the hope the team shows clear signs of getting its shit together before the end of the year, and letting us head into 2017 at least knowing we're moving forward with Gruden and Cousins and not possibly facing The Big Flush and starting all over again.

To be fair to Robinson, I think that headline is more sensational than accurate. I didn't see anything in there that said he said the locker room was toxic and that he 'fled' because of it. First he talks about how people started pointing fingers when they were losing (probably not much different than any other losing team). Separately, he says he was offered a contract, but decided to move on because he thought there were better opportunities elsewhere.

If Kirk falls under the category of "what you see is what you get" then stinking it up in the first half is followed by lights out the second half. That maybe what we're looking at. You know the status quo. Which means we go into next year same ole same ole results and all.

Kirk Cousins needs to come out and be crisp and play clean with no turnovers and no hesitancy.

If he continues to play like he is in a fog, this team's season is going to be over very quickly.

The teams that I remember went 0-2 and still made the playoffs include the 1984 Redskins who went 11-5 and the 1993 Cowboys who went 13-3 after Emmitt Smith held out for two weeks at 0-2.

The 2016 Redskins are not even close to these other teams in terms of talent, coaching or experience.

So, the odds are already long.

The losing was at the beginning of the year. We ended the year on a winning tear, and as division winners.
So, how can he use the losses at the early part of the year, as reasoning, for taking off after the season ?

Lose against the Giants and then Cleveland, it's gonna get ugly. 0-3 things will heat up. But if they lose to the lowly Browns...

Can they hire some someone to call plays? I don't care if it's some little league coach or some kid that plays Madden.

What I've seen thus far this year makes a playa sad. Real real SMDH sad.

As much of a mess as things are here I still don't see us losing to Cleveland. They're a full on dumpster fire with 2 QB's gone for the season to injury.

5 different QB's have started the last 5 starts. Rookie QB's have a habit of getting their career rolling against us, so we just have to hope that Kessler isn't starting against us. The Browns signed Charlie Whitehurst to cover the loss of RGIII, so if Kessler gets hurt, Whitehurst will start. McCown is injured but as of 11.25pm Thurs (Australian time), he has not been placed on the IR list so will return soon.
