Burner's Burning Questions: Predicting The Fifty-Three Man Roster And Practice Squad,

Have to believe there is going to be an addition to the DL one way or another in the next few days.

What about Kelsey Young ?
I havn't seen anything about him ever being cut.

Some of the DC media types on twitter are giving me the cold shoulder right now. They didn't like it that I got the news first of Stephen Paea signing with Cleveland yesterday. Beat most of them by a wide margin. It was nothing - just quick on the draw and they missed it for a while.

Bah. I don't care. I work for BGO, not them or anyone else. But there are several in the DC media who are good apples and they had no issues with it or didn't even notice.

Okay, we're now at that point where the best teams are releasing good players. Keep in mind that out of every 500 that get cut, only 10 really make active rosters.

The Panthers just released NT Kyle Love. If you want an upgrade to Pot Roast, he's your guy.

The Broncos just released Hillman. If you're concerned about the durability of Chris Thompson, he makes sense.

From twitter:

Kyle Love is available. Kyle Love is a better NT than Golston, has good feet for a NT that may be perfect for a 1 gap scheme. 29 yrs old.

If you want an immediate and much younger upgrade at NT, there you go.

Nothing real shocking. With all the DL cuts I thought Jenkins might stay over Reyes. I guess Golston as the only NT outside of Baker (who needs to be on the outside)? Maybe another body to come in later at least to backup Kedric?

Not sure what the FO plan is for the lines but this guy may be worth a short contract and solidify that G spot.

Packers released Josh Sitton

I don't know that the FO is going to pay $4 or $5 million @ year for a Guard at this point.

Thought they should've kept Brown over Chris Thompson.

I know Thompson has had a good camp but right now, he's where he usually resides: hurt and on the pine.

I just don't think he's dependable enough to be worth a spot.

What!? Cut their most experienced Back!!! :peaceful:
:rain: He is the most vested (3rd year) RB on the roster but health is pretty scarey

For some reason Joe Barry thinks Kendall Reyes is not only worth keeping but evidently worth starting as well.

Maybe Reyes has photos on him or Reyes is secretly Barry's love child.

Although he was a second round pick, the Chargers couldn't wait to let him go via free agency.

From what Cooley said, Reyes has not been very impressive in camp or the preseason.

I wonder what gives.

In addition to Love at NT, I would look at Akeem Ayers at OLB.

These guys seem like upgrades on Golston and Houston Bates.

Practice Squad so far:

running back Mack Brown

offensive linemen Isaiah Williams and Nila Kasitati

wide receivers Kendal Thompson and Maurice Harris

fullback Joe Kerridge

linebacker Lynden Trail
