We are freeing up a ton of cash.

Now let's see how close McLovin thinks we are to a SB.

If he's more optimistic than most fans, he'll spend a good amount right now on a center and a serious pass-rusher. If not, we'll spend next season.

We won 7 games combined between 2013 and 2014, yet the fact that we didn't win one of our 9 games in the 2015 season vs. a winning opponent apparently makes the season a failure according to your logic. Okay.

There were enormous holes everywhere on our roster in 2013, yet you expect the depth chart to be flawless a few seasons later.

I'd buy into your argument about how you can only have so much patience for a bad team had we won 4 or 5 games last year and the cycle of futility continued.

At a certain point, the patience game does get old.

However, the team began turning a corner a bit last season and showed some true signs of progress. It may not be where you or I ideally want the team to sit currently, agreed.

You're just choosing to harp on the negative...over and over again. We get it.
 
Many believe this guy used to be the best center in the league. If he wasn't first (Mack?) then he was second.

He missed a lot of games last year due to injury, but came back and started this preseason.

#Vikings release former starting center John Sullivan after attempts to trade him.

This is absolutely the kind of affordable guy we could bring in for a look.
 
Well, we did pick up a potential #1 receiver in Doctson. With Garcon and Jackson set to be FA, do you want to negotiate with them with a gun to your head?

We also picked up an entire secondary this offseason. Norman, Fuller, Toler, etc.

I would add that one of our biggest needs on defense was finding someone that could cover RBs and TEs in the short and intermediate zones - I think we found that player in Cravens.

You have to remember a year and a half ago we had no secondary, no young linebackers worth a damn, an offensive line with only one legit talent in Trent Williams.

And no clear cut starter at quarterback.

Yes, things were indeed worse 😜

As to beating teams with winning records, clubs like Indy, Green Bay have made hay for years playing a division of losers with one or two tough out of conference matchups.

Nobody is going to take away their 11-12 win seasons away from them.

This is why I don't even respond to nonsense.

You can also add New England to that list.

They've made the playoffs 12? years in a row now, getting to play against Miami, Buffalo and the Jets.
 
Do people here remember what Atlanta gave up for Julio Jones?

Now if Doctson turns out to be anything close to the two WRs he is most often compared to, AJ Green or Fitz, people are going to be thrilled we didn't pick up a center in the first round.

This AM before any cuts were announced Chris Cooley said on his show the Redskins have 3 NFL defensive linemen right now in Baker, Hood, and Francois.

He said Paea was awful and showed little in camp. He said both Golston and Reyes were regularly driven off the ball by their OL counterparts.

Ioanidas he said looked good early and then kind of disappeared. Perhaps a loss of confidence.

This was all before the cuts and before Cullen Jenkins had passed his physical.

It's saying something when a 35 year old street free agent like Jenkins comes in for a workout and is already way ahead of a guy like Paea who at 27 was supposed to be entering his prime.
 
He had a great game against New Orleans ... and I wondered if he'd "figured it out" finally as well. Then, another injury. I think Perry's going to get a legit shot somewhere, and might end up having a second NFL life yet.

Kinda nice, when you think about it, that this team is in a place where it can let a guy like Riley go. For most of the past couple decades, we'd have had to hold onto this guy and hoped.
 
Does anyone know for those not in the DC area if the game, now that it's switched to tomorrow, will be televised on any cable channel?
