Will we sign Josh Norman?

Remember, the original numbers we are hearing right now are leaked by the agent. Mainly to try and win future clients.

The real numbers won't be known for another day.

It's already being reported that we have on option to dump after year 3 if we want out.

Scot McCloughan just drove out of Redskins Park giving a big thumbs up

Wow, please God, let Scot be right on this!

I give Peterson the edge among the 4 guys listed, but the gap between them is VERY small.

Of course the Seahawks drafted Sherman and the Cardinals drafted Peterson so they have gotten some discounts along the way.

Talib has been a regular on the free agent market the past couple of years. He is a hired gun, largely IMO because he isn't viewed as being a leader or 'team' guy, more of a mercenary; and he had some off the field issues in Tampa.

The 2017 cap makes this all possible.

Cousins will sign a contract which lowers his annual salary, the Redskins will lower the cap hit significantly at the WR spots over 2016 and those changes will pay a good portion of the guarantees to Norman.

Given that, we may be looking to take a WR early in the draft this time around to groom for 2017.

But have to get that solid interior DL as well.

Trade down from that #21 selection and do some 'magic' in Round 2 :D

depends on how cousins plays this year if he continues from last year he will get 19+
if he regresses he will will get less redskins have offered 16 million as there highest.

Well if nothing else we just got our FA 'fix'

Let's get a good draft under our belts next.

We almost have to, in order to get to McClue's goal of 12 total picks.

It it would be smart to trade into the second round unless a blue chip once in a franchise player falls to you

Talib is awesome......he's also 30.

Norman was rated the 4th best QB 2 years ago, and the top CB last year.

Whether we just got the first, second, third or fourth best CB in the league is a nice topic to discuss:)

Dayum, he can throw it and cover it by himself! :adoration:

Heard we sent Redskins 1 to pick him up. Good way to start things off. I am sure riding in Dan's private jet must be nice. If McCloughan thinks he can help and not break the bank, he'll be signed.

I hope so...courting him is one thing, that plane represents past behavior...just sign him and don't let him think he has the owner in his pocket.

This defense is shaping up quickly.

Galette, Kerrigan and Preston Smith rushing. Baker too.

Norman and Breeland locking it down on the back end.

If we could get add one more great rusher or monster on the D-line......and one great safety this draft.....things could get nasty fast.

If you aren't already, you should follow @joviasg on twitter right now lmao.

Galette's doing everything he can to get Norman to DC. He's a character.

Gallette is a hoot!

A) McCloughan knows players, this pursuit is a ringing endorsement of Norman; B) Let's wait for the real numbers.

When was the last time he was wrong ?
Signing Percy Harvin to a 6 year, $67 million contract immediately comes to mind ...

That season I believe he had one catch for, uh, seventeen yards? Pretty sure it was seventeen.
