Anybody who thinks RG3 is the "biggest bust in Redskins history" has only been a Redskins fan for 4 years. Albert Hayensworth will now and forever always hold that title. RG3 won us the division in 2012, and basically did it all by himself, and that's an amazing feat on what was still a pretty poor and talent-deficient team. Nothing can take that away, ever.

Factory you don't need to use veiled insults just come right out and bring it on! I watched more Redskins games than you ever will and that was before you learned how to wipe your own ass outside the crib.

Ah mentions of Lombardi...just reminded me and it's totally off topic but for those interested, NFL Network will be broadcasting the first SuperBowl on the 15th, 8:00pm.

Get ready for some old style/std def TV. Was visiting my uncle, fortunately he got his color TV in time for us to see the game.

Come to think of it, first time I recall seeing a color tube was a live golf broadcast circa '58 and some guy named Palmer was the highlight of the tourney.

Albert haynesworth is the biggest bust in Redskins history, not RG3.

Albert was a cancer from day 1, he crippled the franchise for years, even beyond his brief tenure with the team, both with his ridiculous contract, and the cap penalty that came as a direct result of his signing. We are only NOW recovering from the damage that signing did to our organization. He was an embarrassment both on and off the field. His signing represents the absolute nadir of the Redskins as an organization since I've been following the team (the early 1980s). And, he's the gift that keeps on giving, flapping his fat gums on twitter and to the press whenever he feels like bringing back terrible memories to Skins fans. His signing epitomized what the general public thought about the Redskins. Albert haynesworth solidified the opinion among NFL fans across the country that the Redskins were a national joke - and really, who could argue? Watching the $100 million man take a peaceful nap on the grass while a confused Eagles lineman stands over him trying to figure out what to do with himself, the entire country got to see what every Redskins fan knew was true - our once proud organization had been destroyed.

RG3 brought us a division title when we hadn't had one in years, and brought success to a fanbase that was absolutely STARVED for something, ANYTHING that would make us feel better about the team and help us shake the stink that surrounded us since GIbbs retired. I know 2013 and 2014 sucked, but frankly 2012 was enough to tide me over until this season. And, when things started going bad, RG3, outside of a few missteps, never did anything to embarrass and humiliate our fanbase. He carried himself with grace during an incredibly difficult season in 2015.

I don't know if all this stuff pops up in the Redskins media guide, but I watched it all play out over the past 6 years. Haynesowrth = biggest bust in Redskins history. RG3 = magical footnote in our storied history.

That's not really what you'll be seeing. They aren't showing the actual tape of the broadcast, which they do not have. They are showing a reconstructed Super Bowl with scraps of NFL films, narrated by players and new play by play. Pretty cool, but not exactly a "classic tv experience." A video tape of much of the actual broadcast does exist, but the NFL won't work out a deal with the owner, so we may never see it.

Those that say RG3 is the biggest bust, most certainly are adding more weight to the number of picks we paid, to get him.
Those that do not, are obviously adding more weight to his rookie performance.

I haven't been paying much attention to our players names before 2008. The biggest bust, since ive been paying attention, is Rg3. I was going to put Orakpo in here. But looking back at his stats. He had 3 good years here.

Desmond Howard, Heath Shuler, Andre Johnson, Sean Gilbert, Dan Wilkinson and Dana Stubblefied, Deion Sanders, Taylor Jacobs, Brandon Lloyd, Adam Archuletta, Laron Landry, Donovan McNabb, Jason Taylor, the aforementioned Albert Haynesworth ... thats just off the top of my head.

Hell, how about Brad Johnson? We gave up, what, a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the guy and he didn't even last two seasons here.

The list is long. Griffin is just a cog in a very big machine.

I think I stand with the fact that while Griffin is undeniably a bust, he at least did something for this team. That 2012 season and leading us to a division title, will always mean he's relatively low on the Bust scale for me despite everything else.

It's the players we brought in who did nothing at all that irk me as busts.

Especially those that thought they were bigger than the team and then never delivered.
