Who is the Redskins' Rookie of the Year 2015 ?

There's a lot of competition for this honor, thanks to the great drafting by Scot.
A lot of immediate contributors and starters on both sides of the ball.
Looking like the greatest draft in a long long time.
And perhaps more to come, with Scot on board.

But who was the best ?
And should Morgan Moses be included ? Or should he get an honor such as "Comeback Player of the Year" at the very least ?
Please read the poll carefully, as our menu options have changed !

And could any of these guys be in the running for league DROY or OROY ?

I really like the entire group. Crowder would be my runner up, but I voted for Scherff. He has brought stability to the right side, and I hate to think what our line would look like without him.

I guess I'd give the edge to Crowder, and Scherff has held up fine, but Preston Smith is making a pretty good case for himself as well.

Seven sacks, including three in the biggest game of the season?

Top four picks this year are all looking real good.

Look at that list again. Just take a minute and look at it.

Then sacrifice something near to you to make sure Scot stays here for a while.

I do believe Preston smith leads all rookies in sacks

Kirk Cousins... it's obvious, isn't it?

He's not on the list now is he........ we actually do know the difference despite your apparent willingness to acknowledge one.

Guess he could be 'other' if you'd like to do a write in vote.

It was sarcasm. :) I was joking about all the guys out there who repeatedly refer to our 27 year old QB as "a 1st year starting QB"...

We should probably have another thread about FA pickups too... I'd say his best was Dustin Hopkins, even though I think his leg is getting a bit tired out lately (or maybe they are telling him to kick it shorter and higher).

Got it...
Just a shot back atcha

And yes he is a first year starting QB...... without the benefit of a pre-season as one :swordfight:

:D

Crowder would get more consideration if it weren't for the mental mistakes. Thank God the Eagle's game didn't come down to special teams, because Crowders inexplicable and repeated fielding of balls from the 5 yard line and less could've cost us that game. He has shown a lot of promise at WR though. I have to go with the Sheriff though :)

Wow, just look at those names on that list.

McLovin is our rookie of the year.

Any of those players could stake a claim - just an incredible rookie class. Hope none of them is a one year wonder a la Chris Horton.

My ranking order...

1. Preston Smith
2. Brandon Scherff
3. Jamison Crowder
Tie
4. Matt Jones
4. Kyshoen Jarrett
6. Quinton Dunbar

Indeed he does with 8. #2 is Danielle Hunter (Minn) with 6. He has a chance to catch up vs GB's O-line tonight.

Preston Smith, maybe a shot at League DROY ?

Might be a long shot - he's pretty far down the list in tackles. #1 in Sacks (8) but #29 in tackles (35)

Eric Kendricks (MLB - Vikes): Tied with a bunch @ #5 in sacks with 4. #4 in tackles with 83. I think he has a better shot.

I suppose it would have to go to Scherff being that he's in every offensive snap and the OL has been solid in pass protection, but you gotta love the value pick for Crowder - 4th rounder and he breaks Monk's rookie record. That's where I give him the edge over a guy who was a top5 pick.
