Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the game due to crazy circumstances (went out of town, came back and had: death of someone close to us, eye surgery, & Star Wars). I have the game on DVR, but haven't been able to free up time. I'm also in a lurch this weekend and might miss the Bills game. That's why I've been relatively quiet about the Redskins this week.
Regardless, nothing has changed for me... I still think Cousins can be a very capable backup/spot starter. He has done a fine job with what he has been given, but there isn't really anything special about him. I can easily name 18 QBs right now who I would consider better than Cousins, and he is in a mix of QBs that I'd rank between 20-25 in the league. This is also why I would've invested in Griffin, because he is the only one on the roster who could've been special (if Gruden had continued to invest in his development)...

I have to say though, I still believe you make some wild assumptions about the QB position.
1. "RG3 is the only one on the roster who could've been special." For starters, you have no idea if that's true. Kirk may turn out to be very special. Fans said the same thing about Dalton--another QB that was judged as "average" by fans for several years. Like Dalton, Kirk also has the benefit of being coached by Gruden. I think the odds are that he can do something similar with Kirk. The WRs are open all over the place and it's a very QB-friendly offense.
2. "I would have invested in Griffin." What could possibly be riskier than that? I suppose making a long-term investment in Wes Welker might be. With RG3's past injury history, and with his tendency to get injured frequently, how could Scot possibly build around him for the next four years, and how could anyone ask Dan to sign him to a four year deal? I woudn't write that check. You wouldn't either. Seriously, what were the odds that RG3 could have stayed healthy for 16 games this season? 5%? And what about next season? Who wants to write the check for that?
3. "If Gruden had continued to invest in his development." Just like with Kai Forbath, Gruden did invest in his development. He invested two training camps, and a lot of games. Hundreds and hundreds of hours. He even supported him in public, naming him the starter to build up his confidence. But like Kai, he had aspects of his game that weren't helping out the team.
John Keim has reported that the locker room would have imploded if Griffin had been the starter this season. Mutiny.
Now why do you think many of the other players would have been so pissed off if RG3 was the starter? Don't you believe the other players want to win games? They want the best QB behind center. So why would they have been so upset if they had to play with RG3?
