The Skins and Cousins are a work in progress for sure, but that was a hell of a comeback in a game where a lot of Skins teams of the past 15 years would have packed it in for sure. If nothing else this team has heart and we owe them a big thanks for an entertaining game!

My other half was in fits and giggles as I whooped and hollered through the second half. LOL

This was a win at home against a young team who lost 2/3 of their core receivers via injury during the game, and who committed a team-record amount of penalties (several which were of the self-inflicted stupid variety). A game in which we were losing with under 30 seconds to go.

Yeah my brothers a big Buccs fan and he was PISSED about the amount of penalties. A few weeks ago we'd probably have challenged them on that front.

We do seem to have cleaned up our act in that regard lately, which is also progress.

Anyhow, I did try to console my brother by making the point that although they lost both teams made some sort of history. He didn't take it well..... :/

I'd like to know who decided that this was a game we were supposed to win convincingly.

A team that was 2-14 last year (2-3 this year) with a rookie quarterback playing at your home on your homecoming... They lost to the Texans & Titans this year... They beat the Jaguars, but let Blake Bortles throw for 300 yards & 4 TDs. The only reason the point spread was so close is because we are an awful team. The only reason the game was so close is because we came out flat and uninspired. Regardless, I'd say you are supposed to win that game convincingly...

One definite area of improvement from Kirk is his poise on these late drives. Still worry about consistency and making a bone headed decision, but he's had several late drives in several games that were outstanding.

That's the main reason I posted it. He was a huge RG3 homer.

He admitted he was wrong, said enough was enough, and that it was time for people to move on with their lives.

It was Las Vegas that set it. They do that to win money, it has nothing to do with the team. Look at what Redskins have done against the spread. That will tell you everything you need to know. Its a trend and gamblers know that.

Meh. I'm no Kirk Cousins apologist but I think you are seriously overstating the 'garbage time' point.

Once we recovered that onside kick, down by only 10 points with over 11 minutes to go in the third quarter, 'garbage time' was over. It was a game again. It was a three point game with almost 7 minutes to go in the third quarter. There is no way Bucs were not giving us easy yards at that point. We were taking them.

The first half was a disaster. Absolutely. The second half was awesome. I don't care who you are playing. These are all NFL teams and none of them give up 24 point leads easily. The fact that this is the biggest Redskin comeback ... ever ... should make that clear.

So it depends on what you want to focus on. Shame on us for the first half or yay on us for the second? Given that the end result was a win, I'm tending to go with the glass was 51% full yesterday.

Second have, we reversed the whip and opened the whoopass can on them. That's football. Bottom line throught it all was that Bucs were flat out coached by a large margin in the second half and lost the game on a play they looked totally unprepared for and foolish. Brilliant play call. Wait. What? You're saying that their coach just prepared a brilliant gameplan for the first half yesterday and there isn't anything we could have done about that? But then Gruden saved the day, and we owe the win to him?

Nope. The idea that people are objective about Cousins is foolish! It gets so damn exhausting. The argument that he had a couple poor throws suggests he didn't have a damn good game is ridiculous. Every QB in the league has bad throws every game. The overall performance yesterday was as good as it gets in the NFL and people want to take their digs because they're closed minded...it's old!

I don't think we disagree that the glass was definitely 51% full yesterday. I think it's important not to ignore the 49% just because we won.

Oh sure. But I think we can pay MORE attention to the good stuff because at the end of the day, the good stuff won.

You obviously have not been paying attention if you're saying I am the only one bringing up Griffin. More to the point I was pointing out the lack of objectivity, using the excuses people made for Griffin as the same standard.

As for him looking terrible in the first half yesterday, objectivity. He made 2 poor passes and and was stripped of a fumble. OK, he also had a completion rate of almost 70% and a TD.

Guys - seriously - could we maybe enjoy a couple days post-win without the incessant debate over the current starter and the #3 guy on the depth chart?

And btw - I understand the snark about Cousins and his long-term future based on one game, but he did just have one of the biggest half's of his career, maybe the best half by a Redskins QB in I don't know how long, how about we celebrate it instead of mocking him?
