NFL Pickem 2015: Week 1 Results

Week 1 results are in, and supreme master Om bested all competitors to open up the contest, racking up an impressive 14-2 record on a challenging opening weekend. Right on his heels was kckredskin with a 13-2 record. Rounding out the top ten for Week 1 were DixieFlatline, Jimbo, Neophyte, Boone, micks113, redskins26, servumtuum, and Shi No Tenshi.

I liked the Skins last week - headwise They were fired up at home, and I knew we would run the ball well. It looked like a pretty good pick at halftime.

There were a bunch of upsets. Taking Buff over Indy? Wow.

Yeah, the Skins pick was hardly homerism. Even with as butt-awful as we've been, we're generally pretty competitive on opening day, particularly at home against non-elite opponents. It wasn't an easy call, but it wasn't a flyer either.

Another poor start. It reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon when he is sent to the principal's office on the first day of school. A despondent Calvin says "It's going to be a long year". I feel you Cal, I really do.
