Well, last year Gruden didn't have a quarterbacks coach and then admitted after the season he got caught short in re responsibilities.

Griffin only threw a minimum number of times in the preseason last year and started the year very slowly. We could be headed down that road again.

Gruden hasn't built up enough 'creds' in my book not to question things that don't seem to make sense.

Unless a team is absolutely getting killed, I wouldn't expect a QB to stay in longer than the 1st quarter.

If you are wondering why we ran as much as we did while he was in, that seems to be the game plan going forward.

CSNW is sayin that Fred Davis is much more likely to return to the Skins, than Cooley is, and is actually one of the top candidates.

Zach Miller is also named as one of the top guys, with his history with McGoo.
He's got injury history as well, but most of the available guys are either injury-plagued, long-retired, lacking in experience, or have personal conduct issues.

I thought Griffin looked pretty good last year early - it was only when he came back after the ankle injury that he looked super tentative imho.

That was what I thought. Pedestrian against Houston, much better against Jacksonville.... until the injury. Then not so good after his return.

Fred Davis couldn't even make the squad in NE and they're known for taking troubled people and straightening them out. I dont have any faith he will do anything positive for this team.

I thought he looked awful last preseason. Bad footwork, bad decisions, taking sacks etc.

I still don't feel confident that he'll be healthy for more than a few games......but he's definitely improving in a couple of areas.

I'm talking about the first couple of regular season games. Judging any player by preseason performance is probably flawed to begin with.

I remember him taking sack after sack in the first game of the year. Long strides, bad throwing base, and scoring no points. Then getting knocked out early in the second game of the year. I could be wrong though. Wasn't he done in the second game of the year?

OK I'm gonna say this and its not meant to be inflammatory, trolling or disrespectful....

Listening to DC sports radio lately has made me painfully aware that there is a huge racial divide in the fan base in regards to any talk of Griffin vs anybody else. Its obvious to me that callers blindly supporting and making excuses for his poor play are of the same race. Call me whatever you want, I'm okay with who I am and how I live, but I am just saying what a lot of people I know have been saying for a while and I just didn't see it until now. I don't know why I feel the need to say it, it makes me uncomfortable to discuss it, but its real, its there in my face. Am I wrong?

I haven't noticed that but I'm not local either. Honestly, even if it's true I have no issue with it. Whites relate to whites, blacks to blacks, Hispanics to Hispanics - it's a natural thing.
