Well, last year Gruden didn't have a quarterbacks coach and then admitted after the season he got caught short in re responsibilities.
Griffin only threw a minimum number of times in the preseason last year and started the year very slowly. We could be headed down that road again.
Gruden hasn't built up enough 'creds' in my book not to question things that don't seem to make sense.
Unless a team is absolutely getting killed, I wouldn't expect a QB to stay in longer than the 1st quarter.
If you are wondering why we ran as much as we did while he was in, that seems to be the game plan going forward.
