since when does a "victim" rush at someone who is in a fight talking shit to them? I always thought victim meant they were innocent.

Exactly, BT. Vet min and 1 year. It's not like we signed him to a 100mil dollar deal.
 
I guess the Saints are just ****ing idiots, huh? Because they looked at a guy they know very well, who is producing at a high level, and said pack your trash and hit the bricks. He must be just super awesome.

And the Eagles were crazy to give up Donovan Mcnabb too.

I'm not arguing the deal - he's a great player and that's bargain basement cheap. I'm saying he's a bad guy and we'll regret it.

We don't have to be smart. It's a veteran minimum deal. If he messes up... gone. Done. Not even a cap issue. The Saints also traded away Jimmy Graham to Seattle for a Center, a move I wouldn't exactly call "smart."

A player with this much upside who can be scuttled with no consequence... this is a move the team has to make.

Awe man, your comment made me think, to date NFL has done nothing, now that he's a Redskin he'll get 6 games and we'll lose two first rounders in 16 and 17!

You're only looking at it from an on the field production standpoint. Who the guys actually are matters - in team meetings, in the locker room, in the community, and to fans. Saying 'we can cut him if he acts out again' - well, that's a pretty low moral bar in my book. I get the excitement from a football standpoint, but I'd rather lose with great guys than win with turds like Galette.

Fair enough and I'm not trying to alter your opinion or anything like that. I guess I'm just thinking of McLovin has a handle on the situation, then it'll be ok. The league hasn't done anything to Galette, so maybe there was really no fire with the smoke... ? I don't know.

It's all good Nick. I will be in the minority on this topic. But we need to find more Ryan Kerrigans, guys that don't need to smoke weed, beat down their hoes, or otherwise display despicable traits.

I'll judge McCloughan on his actions - this one may look fine from a football/financial angle, but it's not as attractive considering the kind of guy we just put in B&G. I have a hard time telling my wife 'he only whips women with belts when they have it coming to them'.

Breeland just went down with a knee injury about three minutes ago (from the time of this posting. It "doesn't look good" is the first analysis.

Looks like a right knee for Breeland. He dropped to the grass pretty quick. I'd say 20 players around him.

well, with the pressure we should be getting up front Culliver and Hall can hopefully fill the void and do a good job.
 
Sucks for Breeland.

I spent two days this week listening to the world's foremost authority on non profits in conjunction with my boss, talk to a huge crowd about how to build an outstanding development department of fundraising. They talked about setting up a mentoring program, paying reasonable salaries and most important of all... creating a culture of excellence. And they gave very specific examples and suggestions about how to create that culture. And the company I work with now has the best company culture I've ever been a part of.

The culture around any enterprise is easy to overlook. I just spent ten years in a culture that got progressively worse to the point I would call it toxic when I left. This is the worst move Scot has made since he joined us. This reeks of an "easy" football decision that can damage our culture during a pivotal rebuilding moment.

It's hard for me to see any positive in this at all.
