Random Commanders Thoughts

Griff is off to a great start in the first two hours. No incomplete passes. Looking incredibly sharp. Buzz around camp is that this is his best start in any camp thus far. Rave reviews and everyone in attendance has been very impressed thus far - including players. More reports to come later.

DHall named starter (for now) opposite Culliver. Practice is over for the day with one exception. Oline is still out on the field with Coach Callahan.

Is this really that difficult to believe or news-worthy? It was evident to anyone with a set of eyes that Gruden had a hard-on for Robert before the regular season even started last year. No QB Coach and Robert barely had any reps in the preseason.

Nick

Yup, same old... same old.

I'm flying up for the season opener.

I'm bringing the gf and her 22 yr old son. He's a Dolphins fan. I hope I don't end up in a fight trying to protect the kid.

He's grown up in Florida, and has never had the chance to see the majestic DC monuments, or anything else that the city offers.

If anyone else is going, I'd love to meet you. Your first five beers are on me.

Currently in Vegas. Here are the futures odds for the Skins:

NFC Championship- 40-1 (2nd longest)

NFL Championship- 80-1 (5th longest)

Anyone want some action?

Breeland to serve a 1 game suspension for weed violation....that sucks for us.

open up, man. i think the cops are after me!

What I just saw said he "may be" facing a 1 game suspension... league wouldn't comment. Not set in stone just yet.

Junior has signed. I'm more excited than nervous about it. I think Scot, jay, and his teammates will get him straight.

At least I hope so.

One year, veteran minimum.

No risk, high reward.

I just dont see how anyone can really be upset here. he gets a chance to redeem himself, we didn't break the bank, and he can be sat at any given time if he messes up. High Reward indeed.

He beat a woman with a belt. Not sure why I'm not allowed to be upset about having a piece of shit on my team?

it wasn't directed at you, James. it was a general statement.

he is being jumped in the video and swinging wildly with the weapon he could find. that woman shouldn't have been hit OR gotten close enough to be hit. He was wrong but he deserves a second chance. be mad all you want.

Was it him though? :spy:

His lawyer says no and I would think if it was a slam dunk that the NFL would already have taken some action on #93.

No doubt the 1 year minimum deal protects the Redskins in case there is any fire behind the smoke.

I wonder how long the NFL is going to continue to be in the 'police' business?

The NFL is not set up with the resources to be a second FBI.

How many players is the league currently investigating?

In the end Greg Hardy gets 4 games........

If the authorities don't sanction a player with misdemeanor or felony charges, the NFL is ultimately going to have to just move on.

Where they have 'sanctioned' players it seemed to be such slight punishment as to not be worth the effort.

I think it's awesome to blame the victim for getting hit. Really cool.

This conversation is about to go sideways, so I'm out. I'm on record saying I think this is a bad idea, he contributes nothing to the culture, and probably detracts from it.

We'll see. McCloughan inherited a 53 man roster that looked more like an expansion team than an established NFL franchise.

In order to rebuild the team you have to take some reasonable risks in the draft, free agency and with trades to get better.

If this move doesn't pay off, we cut him and start Smith or Murphy.
