Random Commanders Thoughts

I am pretty sure we've already established the goal was to get a back who can compliment morris AND can block very well.

Yes, we do need at least one back that can be counted on in pass pro :D

You can ask whether the 3rd round was a bit high specifically for Jones, though, based on his record. Not saying he is a bad guy or doesn't have any talent, but if he was projected to Rounds 5-7 as most agree, we could have gotten him later on and perhaps picked up a player at another position with better credentials.

You can ask...but it's a little arrogant to question a proven GM. ;)

If the thought is that Jones could be another Marshawn...then the selection is about replacing ALF!

Comparing a rookie to a proven great back rarely works out. Ryan Matthews was going to step in for LaDainian and we all see how that went.

true statement. just conjecture my man. I didn't like the pick at first. and happen to agree with Ry's take. but, you know, if he does fit the Lynch profile...that's exciting to think about.

Hey guys, I think I'm going to leave this group that I started years ago. I have my reasons and with the disrespect I have encountered by the Redskins over the last few years I feel it's time to separate myself. I'm hoping that the admins I have put in place can keep things going strong. I love the fans but the Redskins are a organization that don't care for the ones who put in work and bled on the field. I might join you guys again one day if things change. God bless all of you.

Any context to this?

He's turned in to quite the grumpy old dude who complains a lot about the skins. He has a beef with someone there and he can't shut up about it. To that I say, "don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya"

Didn't PD get passed over for the head strength & conditioning guy when it was open? Or it was some kind of employment with the team I can't remember. Doubt he'd have as big a grudge as he does now over that, but ya never know.

I remember that and I think some of it was him not being brought back to the team when he wanted to be. It's a very personal grudge on his side.

Yeah Phil was a good dude who didnt know when the game passed him by...and now after being handed a position with the team well it obviously didnt work out. I doubt they hired him to make derisive comments on social media. Go to chicago dude see how that works out.

Thanks for the info. I do remember him being hired as a coach after he was let go. Then I remember hearing about him complaining about the organization, blah, blah, blah. But I didn't know if something new brought this most recent development.

Yawn...put in work and bled on the field...and got payed millions of dollars as a mercenary free agent to do it. So sick of this sense of entitlement. Cripes, earn your way! The Redskins don't owe you squat.

We didn't draft his son. DeVarius signed a UDFA with Vikings. Getting kicked off Notre Dame's team before start of last year (senior yr) hurt his draft stock.

Not sure about Moses but I think Leribus is done in maroon & black now. Unless there's some freak accident to Licht between now and opener that is.

LeRibeus isn't the backup center, Chester is. And the team just drafted a natural center in Reiter.

So, I think Josh makes it as a guard or he is out of here.

Not sure if it's been discussed here, but I heard Chris Russell (I think it was) a day or two ago saying that LeRibeus apparently had some sort of internal bleeding problem last season, and that it obviously limited him. I haven't been able to find any additional info on that, but it at least makes it possible that if he's recovered, he'll come to camp knowing full well his career is on the line.

Crossroads time, Josh. You got the fire?

I hope he ok health wise. It's not safe to keep yo-yoing up and down in weight 50+ pounds.
