While we don't know the entire story, McHenry was wrong for going off on the attendant. She was just doing her job. Just because you think you're important doesn't mean you are.

Years ago a man told be nice those under you. Because one day they may pass you on their way up. McHenry forgot we live in a day where everything is being recorded and you may become the news. She was on her own time...however you are always representing your company especially when in a very public job.

I was taught to treat people the way I want to be treated. I've tried to live my life that way.
 
absolutely don't care. media personages are lower than dirt to me. the only thing I read into this is that the assumed superiority the bulk of media harbor escaped long enough to be recorded.

Right. That's the one thing we can thank our lucky stars for.

Without that rookie cap RGIII would have gotten a Bradford type guarantee of $45-50M and we would be in a world of hurt in terms of signing free agents.
 
I just watched the video for the first time. Going on a personal attack of the employee says reams about McHenry's personality and ego. I'm sure her parents are appalled by her behavior. She needs to grow up, maybe this experience will lead to that.
 
Perhaps we should return this thread to Random Redskins Thoughts, eh? I love a good debate about the media and people being idiots as much as the next guy but this isn't really the thread for it. Thanks.

I don't know. I would think that the company would have certain "private life conduct" clauses in the contracts of the people who are actually on tv. And truthfully, I think it's more that you a video of the incident. I mean, truth be told, in this country, the woman behind the counter could have pressed charges on her for verbal assault & harassment. Then where would ESPN be on the issue?

But at the end of the day, it's not her being that way to someone, it's that she did it on camera. Now, the court of public opinion will decide her fate, really. How many people are going to care about this enough to stop watching ESPN because of her & how many won't care in a week?

Last comment I'll make as Bob is right - this is in the wrong thread...

That's exactly the issue though. The fact that someone recorded it doesn't instantly make it a matter that ESPN has any legal right to act upon. The idea that this is some kind of 'an assault' is ludicrous. Being an asshole is not illegal :) and that's all I have to say about that.
 
How many people are going to feel sympathetic to tow companies? or bail bondsmen? :laugh:
 
Seriously guys...back to the Skins here. You want to start a thread in the 5 O'Clock Club about personal conduct and business life I will probably join in but let's leave off here, please. Nothing about this story is tied to the Redskins in anyway.
 
So, if we took a random sampling of Redskins fans, what would they think about this whole Britt McHenry controversy?
