Jerome Johnson is a Redskin, I suppose at $4M we expect him to be the starter at SS.

I hear you and agree 100%. But here's the problem.

Safeties taken outside the 1st round don't start their first season.

Hall doesn't really love to tackle, is injured, and may not look so great with the different angles, etc required to play the position.

So......if the answer isn't in the draft, at least for this season.......we need someone badly.

Sorry for my ignorance, but does "core teamer" refer to playing on special teams ?
Or is it a reference to his attitude about being a "team player", in general ?
I hope it's not ST, because as weak as we are at Safety, I don't want our starter at that position, playing ST

ST. He had eight tackles on coverage last season.
 
I don't think Hall is a serious contender for safety. Let's hope this Johnson boy can play. You could leave the position empty and still get the same results as BW.

Lol. Phillip Thomas is a possibility.

What are the chances he is either good enough, or can last 16 games? Imagine him being our starter, and going down with injury.

I don't see how we could possibly go into the season like that. BW may become our new Doughty type....he just keeps returning.
 
The Amerson, Thomas, Rambo draft isn't looking so good in retrospect is it?

But BW has zero game, IMO.

For all of his experience, he's worthless. At least a rook has an excuse.

He tweeted about two minutes after signing his contract. BGO retweeted him instantly. I posted the news right away. So we were amongst the first to break the news on twitter and here. :)

One thing to note about Jeron Johnson (@Jus_Showoff). Whenever he's had the opportunity to perform, he plays lights out. Starter talent.

We don't have to fill every slot long term this year guys. It won't happen. We may have to plug less than perfect players in at several spots as we draft long term players. And it's still to early to give up on Thomas IMHO.

I totally agree. It's going to take a few years for a total rebuild.

But we're at a point that if Thomas went down, we literally wouldn't even have a body to put on the field. D Hall? Maybe.

Santana Moss? Garcon? I'm not sure what we'd do.
 
All good news. Just waiting for the shoe to drop on the OL, specifically Chester and the open spot at RT.

We may be in line for changes there April 30th.
