If Tom Brady had been throwing behind our O-line in the SB he might not have even been sacked. He was getting that ball out immediately. With a QB like that, our line is pretty good.

It all needs to improve--the line, the qbs.....all of it.

I've been trying to ignore this. I am finally coming around to your POV, El. Griffin doesn't get it. And I begin to think he never will. He is narcissistic and self-centered and I fear it (along with Shanahan's boneheaded injury decision) will be his downfall. At this point, I wouldn't be shocked at all to have Scot draft a QB. Hell, if Winston is there at 5, maybe he takes him, I don't know. If the team gives Griff another year to pull it together and bring him back, great. If not, I understand.

The dearth of leadership the last two years has killed this young man's career. Yes, he has made some incredibly poor decisions, but he would have benefited greatly from Joe Gibbs pulling him aside and telling him to get I together, and giving him a positive role model for how to act. Instead he was stuck with the weasel Shanahan and an inexperienced, in-over-his-head coach.

Sigh.

To answer the question posed by the headline of the ESPN video, he wasn't trying to "gain" anything. He simply made the mistake that many people make: he responded to a troll. Obviously, he should not have done that, because that's a no-win battle.

Though, I understand the impulse. He's a person like anyone else, and no one likes to be attacked for no good reason. However, he's got to understand the position he's in right now, and let that kind of thing go. Post what you like, and ignore the comments, good or bad. (I'm not going to be a hypocrite and tell him not to post anything at all, as if it takes away from his job.) He has to understand that for some people, the fact that he hasn't played well the last couple of years means they get to question anything and everything he does, even something as seemingly innocuous as posting a video of himself singing while on the way to work. It's hard for everyone to do, but he's got to ignore the unreasonable criticism and focus on the positive.

Anyway, this "controversy" will pass and it'll be on to the next. Of course, none of it really matters until he can hit the field again. We'll see what happens then.

I will disagree this is nothing. I understand the win and everything is forgiven line of thought, however, we are not winning. As mentioned, if he played remotely well, a social media meltdown would mean les but it is just another incident where this guy just doesn't get it. His ego is so fragile, he lets a troll get under his skin. And yeah, I understand the humor in that statement coming from me.

Maybe. But the entertainment of watching half the population running around like a chicken with it's head cutoff gives me an orgasmic flush, all over. :)

It's not that I disagree with your notion. It's just that I submit to this modern communication. Can't un-ring the bell. Besides, I like the defiance aspect. Though, as we both know, when you don't win, defiance can be interpreted as ignorance. Lots of people going his route these days. He gets more scrutiny because of his circumstance.

If he doesn't turn his on field game around, the criticism will never stop. If he does, and I still believe he can, and will, then it won't matter much what he does on social media. The NFL suffers many fools. It can handle "selfies" too.

You are correct about the curious characters in the NFL, but we are talking about a team reeling for stability...our projected starting QB battling on social media does nothing to suggest there is stability at the most important position on the field.

Hell, I have even remained above the fray on other social media sites because I now represent my company, a company that is striving to be the best. I am very careful not to jump into every contentious argument being made....and boy do I love to jump in areas of contention!
 
He was on his way to workout when he posted a song as motivation and a hello to his fans when some keyboard warrior decided to chime in like a bitch. I don't see even a quarter of the hate he does and it gets old when you go to read anything on him and people can't help themselves but feel like they can and have a right to disrespect him or lash out.

It's the offseason. He's working out and doing what he can to be fully healthy. If people don't like him they should move on. But the constant harassment on social media is just a bunch of online tough guys being safe behind their monitors talking shit.
 
Even the most critical outlets of RGIII (like 106.7) have said that he technically is not in the wrong here, but needs to learn to not let this stuff get under his skin.

Well, again, if his trajectory continues downward, this will all be seen as part of the problem. But if he rises from the ashes, in the end, it will be seen as a strength.

It says enough is enough. Why are you following him if you hate him so much? Is he just supposed to let random couch quarterbacks who have never done a thing professionally just take any random shot at him whenever they want?

He doesn't respond to 90% of it and that's the opposite of soft. He's a good man who loves his family and tries to put put a positive message. That's not soft.
