Random Commanders Thoughts

Neither Cousins nor McCoy are on there either.

I think it just means that he's no longer a big draw. But wouldn't take it as a sign that he's about to be traded.

Oh I can dig it alright, just wish the mediots would see it that way.

Ya, they get paid to create news, not report it. Just think..... many years ago people that spread shit all over the place were called farmers. Now there called Journalists...

The offensive line needs three new starters. Reed has to develop as a two-way performer at TE.

There is really no sense in investing in qb right now.

I am in agreement that we should roll with Griffin and the others in 2015.

We can then clean house next offseason if these guys disappoint us.

Personally, I don't see any of these guys here in two years.

The qb that is next going to win a playoff game in Washington is not on the roster.

You don't see Griffin here two years from now? What do you think will happen with him?

Super Bowl MVP with Philly ?

Something tells me that Philly wouldn't touch him with a 50 foot pole. Mariota might be much more likely to end up there.

It's hard to plan 2-3 years out on someone with his injury history.

Dude..you're getting to be very predictable with your blog pieces and articles anti Griffin.

That was an opinion piece and that's all it was.

It may be an opinion piece but it was one of the lead stories on Mike & Mike this morning.

I really don't understand the kerfluffle this has caused. I really don't. This seems to epitomize the very idea of a media-created story to me.

Griffins QBR was something like 40 last season. If he doesn't demonstrate competence and durability this season it will be his last as a Redskin.

I don't understand why people get so upset with these writers. Are many of them, especially the WP writers hacks? Hell yes they are. Some are absolutely awful.

Is it easy to be a writer during the offseason? Hell no it isn't.

Imagine your employer telling you that you need to come out with three articles a week. After you've already covered the coaching changes, position battles and salary cap, what else are you supposed to write about?

They have to write about something.....anything team related during slow times.

It's not an easy job. That's why there are only a few good ones.

I agree - it's odd since even most Skins fans would admit Griffin has done nothing the past 2 years to even warrant being named the definitive starter, much less to call him a franchise QB. If he were the unquestioned starter it might strike me as weird that they weren't promoting him.

Basically the media is saying 'the Redskins don't view him as a great player' - to which I would respond 'well...duh...'

Yep, as it should be. I don't see this as some sort of message that others have said they see it as. If it is a message, I can't argue with it: time to shit or get off the pot, Robert. He can make excuses (many of which are legitimate) for injuries and all that, but the fact is that he played poorly last year. I put a lot of that on poor playcalling and having a HS OLine in front of him, but if we're going to be fair, it's not like Luck had the second coming of the Hogs last year and he played brilliantly.

Time to get moving in the right direction, Robert. If you can't handle the pressure, you shouldn't be in the NFL.

Yeah, I get all that. It may not be "fair", but that is the career they've chosen. I think it's "fair" to criticize them, particularly when they manufacture controversy like this.

Personally, I'd rather read in depth analysis about why Haz failed or whatever instead of this tripe.

I'm not anti-Griffin. I'm pro-Griffin, mainly so we don't have to use draft picks in the future years on another QB. It would be AWESOME if he could kick ass! Then we can actually fill other holes.

Why when someone posts an article that says "Our O-line is complete garbage" is everyone okay with it? That's not a shot? That's not negative? That's cool, right?

But God forbid anyone posts an article questioning Griffin? Then that's unacceptable?

Or does it just depend on what someone agrees with?

You're pro Griff?

Since when? Since saying we need to ditch him for Winston? Or when we should package him for Gordon?
