The media just asked him some questions, which of course is fine, as is him answering them if he so chooses. What isn't fine is openly calling your head coach's actions an 'unfortunate decision'. That's just plain stupid Mike. And if you think the coaches won't see that and file it away, you're wrong. You can't have it both ways. If you want to come out and play hurt because your team needs you and you can help them win - you'd better help them win. If you play like crap (and he mostly did), don't turn around and act like you were a hero coming back too early.

I won't poke nor prod you on this...just end by saying I believe this is more support for my assertions about him and his inability to be the great many believe he can be.
 
If you don't want to hear anyone else's opinion, don't post Mike. It's a discussion board.

How about Griffin's return was based more on his insecurity? :)

He had not played well in camp and the preseason in Gruden's system and was probably concerned that Cousins or McCoy could supplant him as the starter if he didn't get back on the field.

For all of the talk of him being an extrovert, I see Griffin as being a more complex personality type, prone to more highs and lows. At times he is that Subway pitchman or guy that is going to prove the critics wrong, at others he appears to go into a shell and appears vulnerable and confused about what is going on (Tampa game and aftermath).

No - what was unfortunate Griffin is that you minimized the extent of your injury and made getting yourself back out there under center the priority. Sorry - but I don't buy the 'my team needed me to win' stuff. I want to like Griffin, and I want him to succeed, but he's becoming a hard guy to root for. He should know that nothing good is going to come from comments like that. I'm starting to believe he's not nearly as 'bright' as we've all been lead to believe. I also think the comments about 'my plan' are not going to loved by his coaches. The only plan you need to have Robert is the one your coaches ask you to execute.

boone you are right on the mark. Especially about throwing the coach under the bus and further alienating himself. That's whats really unfortunate here. Griffin thinks its all about him, without realizing the bus has already left town without him on it. I said it before, too bad but he's an injury bust. Can't make it through a season and even the Rams are willing to cut bait with Bradford. Its not rocket science to see that Griffin has lost what made him special due to injuries. He can blame it on injuries but the reason just doesn't matter any more, he's not special now. When you are no longer special, you keep your yapper shut because it falls on deaf ears.

Man it seems that defense was twice the size of the vikes. Except Green of course, looks like a hobbit out there.

Glad McLovin will get us back to goliaths

You don't know how many times I've seen that play and felt the same thing.

Darrell Green carrying on like he made some sort of play when the WR dropped the ball before he even got there. Now whether he'd have gotten in the EZ... I don't know. Green didn't save the day or anything, though.

The Redskins were basically solely responsible for snuffing out a Bears Dynasty before it could ever get started...cause the talk after 85 was about how the Bears were going to dominate for a few years.

Damn we were tough!
 
Normally I would root against Seattle but the Patriots are so much easier to dislike.

Brady consistently has one of these 'I can't really comment other than to acknowledge we are a superior organization' looks on his face when he is in front of the media.

Reminds me of Dallas in the 1970s.

The fact the Commissioner seems to be in the hip pocket of the Pats reminds me of the Cowboys of that earlier era as well.
 
Agree BT.

Neither team is likeable.
Both coaches are serial cheaters.
I do like both QB's game abilities.
Can't stand Munchkin Lynch. (I do hope he is made a non factor)

As I've said before, I can't really root for either. But I can root for the destruction of the loser. I want a blowout.

Also, should Seattle prevail, I'll see it as HOPE, that the man who helped put some of the pieces is place for them, is now stocking our shelves.

Really? See, I find disliking the 'Hawks easier than any other team in sports right now and have felt that way for over 3 years. I would rather Bill and Tom get another ring than Seattle get back to back Championships. It is that insufferable, in your face, arrogance that gets me.

I'll still go on record saying Sherman is a system player. Great for that system, but a system player. Funny, when Lynch was in Buffalo, it seemed all he did was run directly at the big pile of bodies.

Hate them both, but I think I lean towards hating Seattle more.
