Random Commanders Thoughts

Does anyone know when we can trade players?

I know FA happens, then the draft.

Is it prior to the draft?

The NYG have requested an interview with Raheem Morris for their vacant DC position.

Heard a rumor yesterday from somebody who knows somebody...take it for what it's worth. The guy is in a position to have inside info, but I will maintain this is pure speculation.

Rumor is Griffin will not be w/ the Redskins next year and that Jay Cutler may.

Don't shoot the messenger!

Mirky at best, apparently there is a trade possibility that includes the Raiders. That would not bode well for Chicago since they don't even have the front office hierarchy in place.

griffin wouldn't go to raiders...they have Carr who played well last season.

well......will stay tuned in!

Griffin may get traded but it sure as hell won't be for Jay Cutler ... Isn't Cutler the highest paid QB in the league right now? Not to mention he is a true coach killer...

Forgot about his contract Boone. You're right. Cutler won't be traded, anywhere. Though he might be released.

If Cutler is who they want, why not just go with Cousins? The problems are interceptions with both, but with Cousins there is hope you could fix that. There is also the matter of Cousins being liked by the fans and teammates, which has not always been the case with cutler.

Playing devils advocate here, because i don't think Cutler is an answer, Cousins was VERY dejected and unraveled on the field. Cutler has shown the ability to throw a pickle and recover relatively well. He's also confident when he takes risks, instead of making bad throws, seemingly, out of a lack of confidence. Both have similar results, but COULD be argued to be very different situations.

I think there's a 50% chance that RG3 is traded, and that Jameis is our pick for the future.

I also believe we'll make a push for Justin Houston, the 25 yr old, NFL sack leader (22). Oh yes, he had more sacks than JJ Watt.

Houston and Kerrigan together? Yes please.

In order for use to get Jameis we'd have to trade with Tampa to get the first pick. I don't see why they would do that unless they don't feel confident in Jameis. Plus, I'm guessing it wouldn't just be RGIII straight up for the overall #1, so we'd be giving up more picks when we need them the most.

Apples to oranges. Cutler was drafted, what, in 2006 or thereabouts, been a starter for years. Cousins has started a handful of games. We know what Cutler is - we have little idea what Cousins ceiling is. Oh - and one of them might even be coachable :)

I don't want to trade anything at all. No moving up for anyone.

But, if during the offseason SM decides that RG3 may not stay healthy for the next 5 years, and that he may not be reliable for a franchise QB, then I wouldn't be surprised to see him jump if he's still on the board when we pick.

I'm hoping the Bucs take Mariota at 1, and not Jameis. Although several NFL scouts have come out in the last 48 hours saying Jameis projects to be the better NFL QB.

Because of all the recent hype and Jameis being from Florida, they may just take him at 1. But I don't believe so.
