Alarming body of draft work by Allen. Since 2010, only 4 unquestioned building blocks: TWilliams, RKerrigan, AMorris, BBreeland. Wow.

Anyone who thinks Allen was making picks when Shanny was here is delusional. I'm not saying Allen is good at making picks, but facts DO matter.

He's a GM guys, not Jesus Christ. I don't believe he's going to arrive, find starters in every draft round from here on out as the Redskins are Super Bowl participants every year.

It's a move in the right direction, but I am a little taken aback by the giddy ecstasy some of you are all agush with...

And El ... One minute you're about to go on a hunger strike if the Skins don't lure him here and now you 'have a problem with the hiring' ?
No, not a problem with whom was hired, just that it fits perfectly into a pattern...a pattern we have all seen here for the last decade.

Since when have the Skins not marketed every positive move they've ever made?

Kinda my point, they will market this as a win, which I do think it is, fans will gobble it up, he may fail, fans will get mad...wash, rinse, repeat.

I'm done with the hype, hype, and more hype. If he turns it all around no one will be happier than me. But I've seen and heard all this before. For me. It's wait and see.

And I am here as well, I guess I am kinda shocked that I got this right...that we may have indeed, gotten this right. But won't go full McD5 on the board until we see results.

The great news is this hiring can change all of this. It's only a start, and we need to commit a lot of money to it, but we've got the guy in place who can spot talent. This is a big day, and a chance for the organization to finally take winning football games seriously.

You do realize you were saying almost the exact same thing last year when Gruden was hired, right?

Yeah, there does seem to be some cut and paste from a short script going on around here.

It's all good El, I just think it's pretty weird to call for a specific move as the only thing that can turn the franchise around, then when the Redskins actually make said move, to call it into question ...I guess I don't understand how this falls into some typical bad pattern?

I understand that the link is from the WaPo, but this is something else to consider...

McCloughan picks have produced 24 pro bowlers in the last four years.

Yeah...I know better than think you can be respectful towards anyone.

But then again..your opinion means nothing as well.

Save it for someone else. I'm done with you.

Yeah, their "source" was Albert Breer's tweet.

On Scot McCloughan, expect to see a 4-year deal done with Skins this morning. Plan is for him to fly to DC by Friday morning.

Three of those picks were Shanahan's. Geez...how soon they forget.

And I'm not totally sold on Breeland yet either.

I think Breeland is a top 5 corner in the making...look at how fast he has progressed and that's with highly suspect coaching and zero support on the other side and in the middle. He's going to be a Pro Bowler down the road. Just my opinion.

Breeland has a great upside for sure. But he made so many mental mistakes and mistakes out of frustration that cost us it's hard to be fully sold on him yet.

I like his aggression. You can't teach it. But you can teach restraint.

He had a very good rookie season. we'll see how it goes from here.

Like the saying goes, you can't push rope.

You do realize you were saying almost the exact same thing last year when Gruden was hired, right?

Yes. One small victory at a time. Due to almost an almost nonexistent scouting staff, I feel like we have been fighting with one hand tied behind our back for the last decade. While this won't fix things overnight, like Gruden's hiring, I believe it's a big step forward from where we were.

Before Gruden=Weekly sniping and leaks, and the worst ST in NFL history. Bob Slowik, Haslett......a person could write pages of problems.

Before a new GM=Bruce Allen having any say whatsoever on this football team.

We've got to start somewhere, and build momentum.

On more of a "random" note, it's incredibly difficult to pick who was worse--Vinny or Bruce Allen.

Not only did Bruce blow on organizational structure, the personnel department and other nonsense, but it's recently come to light that he also oversaw the organization's social media department. That was an absolute epic fail. From botched press releases to the pathetic twitter campaign, it's hard to imagine any one individual could possibly be more of a bumbling idiot.

It's amazing to think someone like that can hold a job down--any job. There are far more qualified charitable $$ raisers, and certainly someone else in the country is also qualified to work out contracts.

If he's being paid more than $50k a year Dan is getting abused.

If the meddling stops, we have a chance to become great again. That's really all we ask.

I'm curious. Just how far removed from ones transgressions does a person have to get before people stop bringing them up? When was the last time we actually had evidence of Snyder meddling? Yet you & several others consistently bring it up as if this were an ongoing current problem. Maybe I don't get all the local stuff & inside stories, but the last time I heard anything about Dan Snyder getting involved & "meddling" was....well, it's been a while. Any chance you plan on dropping it any time soon?
