Random Commanders Thoughts

"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance baffle them with bullshit."

I understand this as a tactical move using obfuscation as a weapon but this particular attempt was notably inept.

I don't really like quoting tweets but it is an interesting statement

John Keim

one note if AJ smith has bigger role: he's a big fan of Wade Phillips. had him in San Diego. still likes him.

Huh? What?

So, Snyder is a devil, stealing Tooth Fairy money from poor children.
Allen is an incompetent, lying mother ****er.
The scouting dept couldn't spot their own eyelids.
Our coaches suck.
Our players suck.
It's never going to change.
And we're doomed to a life of failure as fans.

And we apparently are hell bent on repeating this, all day, every day, for the foreseeable future.

Swell.

I don't think it's unreasonable at this point to suggest that, going forward, optimism will have to be earned.

On the field.

And while I'm sorry if that's frustrating for some of you, I think it's safe to say we're all dealing with frustrations regarding this team these days. :)

You're absolutely right Henry.

And with the heavy concentration of the Bitch & Moan side of things toward the team already covered, with 1,000 coats and counting, I thought I might start a Bitch & Moan Crew concerning all the bitchin' and moanin'.

"Cause, I'm a loner. And a loner has to be alone."

"Jesse!"

Ax,

In general I agree with you. For years ... YEARS ... my feeling was if I had something negative to say about the Redskins I'd just keep it to myself, because why complain, right? Be positive or shut up. To this day I still hold back most of the negativity I feel about this team and the NFL in general.

I do have to say, though, it's getting tougher and tougher to bite my lip. This team has been so bad for so long on the field, and so despised and reviled by everyone not specifically a Redskin fan off the field, that there's just not a whole hell of a lot to talk about if you don't complain SOME.

I applaud your ability to stay super-positive amidst this utter drek of a team we root for, but beyond reacting negatively to negativity I'm not seeing a ton from you either. What are the good signs that should make us optimistic that you see? I'm not seeing much on my end, but to be fair I've stopped looking all that hard. What you got, Ax? We could use a little sunshine around here. Lay it on us. :)

It's not as much super positive, as it is anti negative.

Negative thinking can only be changed by the thinkers themselves.
The majority of people are negative thinkers.
Rarely are they only negative in one aspect of their lives.
Almost none of them realize it.
Most dismiss the possibility.
Few admit it.

I'm alive.
My wife still thinks I hung the moon.
Everything else is gravy.
I change what I can, accept what I can't, and damn well know the difference between the two.

Well, good on you.

The team does suck, though. :)

Awesome on a personal level, but none of that gives the 'Skins any hope for the future... ;)

IMO, the only thing Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder owe us fans is a winning product on the field.

They do not owe us an explanation of what their plan is or how they are going to do it.

The great GMs in Pro Sports keep their plans close to the vest and don't tell anybody jack.

I remember when Red Auerbach spent the 6th pick in the '78 draft on a player that wasn't even going to play for him that year...Larry Bird.
The press killed him for spending a pick on a player that wouldn't even contribute on a bad team. All Red would say is " what you don't understand is we got Larry, one or two little moves and we're ready to go". To Red, he didn't owe the press nor the fans an explanation. He just needed to win.

So the whole " they need to tell us exactly what they're going to do" doesn't bother me. To me, Bruce,AJ & Scott Campbell had better " knock it outta the park" this offseason if they want to survive any longer at their current positions.

We ain't the Boston Celtics, and that ain't Red Auerbach in the big office at Redskins Park :)

Sorry - I just couldn't resist... :)

They did last year. We'll have to wait and see about 2015.

Anything can happen. That's the fact.

Yeah i need to circle back to "optimism is earned at this point."

Love it Boone! I wish we had a football " Red " available to us...lol

All I'm saying really is: we all hate the leaks. The good clubs can keep their dirty laundry in the closet and make moves that no one sees coming.

And the Redskins? Hell, they have a freakin manure spreader and broadcast their crap all over the field, parking lot and interstate...

I really wish I could have that 3 minutes of my life back! Larry Michaels on Redskins Nation is horrible! HORRIBLE!
