Random Commanders Thoughts

I think by the same token we have a "only positive" thread, that we should also have the "Whine, Moan, Groan, and Complain" thread, to isolate that stuff and keep it from bringing down other threads

Good God man - what exactly would we post about that doesn't involve whining, moaning, groaning, or complaining?? There isn't anything worthy of a different response right now. It's just a fact.

I hope Griffin starts this week, but I have a bad feeling if he does that Gruden will not give him that much support.....

If it's any consolation, he doesn't appear to have given Colt and support. Like I said in another thread, Gruden was not too kind to Colt in the tape breakdown on the coaches show with Cooley last night.

Gruden is supposed to be this great QB guy, and all he did this year is **** up everyone he put behind center. I will do a jig if he is fired after this season for all of this bull shit

I just don't believe that SC. I know the man has made mistakes, but the OL is abysmal. What does anyone expect of any QB behind that line? I gotta say I am about to give Robert the benefit of the doubt after watching our offense look so terrible with that OL.

What was done to improve that Line in the offseason? Nothing, and if a dumbass like me knows that is a huge problem that didn't really get addressed you would think they would all know that. Our line has been bad for a while, this is not something new.

Gruden tried to make Griffin the scapegoat and that is blowing up in his face now. I don't really see anyway he keeps his job after this. He lost the team, he called a player out in the media, that going for it on fourth down today was the cherry on top........

Like you said in another thread, we need a football person at the top, and go from there.

Well, they drafted 2 OL in the 3rd round. And they signed a FA and moved Licht over to Center. So they did something. Not enough, obviously, but they did something. It wasn't Gruden's fault he could not draft an immediate starter along the OL with a 1st round pick.

And Griffin still has a part to play for his poor performances.

We had 2nd round picks and chose to go another direction there. Bottom line is no move they made panned out, which I understand is more than just gruden.

I agree with you on griffin, but only to a point, cause of the shit gruden had pulled with him. I would have rather griffin start the rest of the year and not colt. He had to work through it, or fail but either way him on the bench does nothing.

The trouble with hiring a new HC is that he has to deal with the previous HC's players, and those players may not be suitable for how the new HC wants the team to play.

Time for Gruden to start afresh. Trade Kerrigan, Orakpo, RGIII, Cousins and Williams. Surely, players and picks for that five can't be all bad! It may be too much to put those players up for trade, but something has to be done or we can look forward to many more years of what we are getting now.

Moses and Long need to be in the starting lineup next week.

Put Moses at LG and Long at RG and let's see what happens...nothing to lose here.

Rak will be a free agent, you can't trade your one good olineman. Griffin and cousins you won't get crap for.....

Would you even trust gruden to do that? I wouldn't trust him to build a dog house right now, much less the Redskins.

I like this train of thought. But we can't trade Orakpo, as he's a FA.

I wouldn't trade Kerrigan for anything. Ditto for Trent.

I would at least listen to offers for most of the rest.

Last I checked, Gruden wasn't picking players, Scott Campbell was.

How that dude has survived all these dreadful years here, I'll never understand.

He had a hand in it, or as HC he should have a hand in it.

Yeah, keep blaming Griffin.

I have tried to remain respectful in light of the Cannibalism thread Boone posted, but I swear your reading comprehension skills must be lacking if you actually believe this. Just do me a favor, put me on the ignore list. Your complete and utter lack of objectivity when it comes to Griffin is tiring.

You guys aren't trying that hard, let's be honest.

Let Rak go as he can't stay healthy anyway. You have to put Kerrigan on the trade block, but only trade him to a team that is a SB contender. Ditto for Williams. In fact, put every player who is not a 1st or 2nd year player on the trading block. See if any offers are forthcoming, or take what we can get.

Let the coaching staff try and acquire the players they want, then see what they can do. Better option than having a HC work with someone else's rabble.
