REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have made the following roster moves:

The Redskins signed the following practice squad players to their active roster:
LB Gabe Miller
DB Kenny Okoro

The Redskins placed the following player on their Reserve/Injured list:
CB Chase Minnifield

The Redskins waived the following player:
WR Aldrick Robinson

Not sure what to think about this move to be honest. I havent seen much of Robinson since 2012 when we got a set of better WRs. I do agree we need more defense depth then WR. But would I rather have cut him or Hankerson. Its really hard to say. Id say the cut was surprising, but when looking at who are WRs are, its practical.

I'd guess that Gruden wants to see more of Hankerson through his own eyes, and not base it on the opinions prior to when he was hired.
Kind of like with Polumbus. Everybody here knew the guy had no business starting. But Gruden still gave him a long leash and a decent chance, before finally pulling the plug on him.

Don't know if this had much to do with it but the Skins were over the cap prior to the move. They went from about $250K over to about $250K under.

At least they spend the money. Perhaps not always wisely but they are putting up the nickles & dimes. What's the Jags excuse for having $22 million in cap space.
