Not really, I just think Nick Saban is a piece of trash. I used to be a big Bama fan, until he came aboard. That's why I always root against them.

As for the matchup last night...they did what great teams do, they took the blows, got back up and took it to Auburn. Gotta give credit where credit is do.

Am I afraid to matchup against them? Look, if the Noles play the Tide like they did yesterday, they lose ands lose big. But please don't count out the Seminoles. That's what people have been doing all year long.

And give me a break! Auburn did not fold, they lost to the best team in the nation! We are National Champs for a reason with slim, but legitimate shot to repeat.

FSU is one of the luckiest teams in NCAA Football. They've had a lesser schedule & nearly was an 8-4 team. No, they're not. That is the argument & I won't try to take that away, but there's a reason we are #1 in the Nation, NOT FSU. Strength of schedule on top of being mostly dominant throughout. Yes, we struggled in a couple games & got our 1 loss. But, Mizzou? Puh-lease. They don't even belong in the SEC!

Lucky? At some point you have to realize you create your own luck. As for lesser schedule, they have beaten 5 top 25 teams when they played them.

And FSU is the #1 team in every poll except the bullshit playoff. Aren't they the same people who ran the BCS? I mean, I hear they may not put OSU in the playoff because they lost their starting QB. Is that really a consideration when choosing the playoff teams?

Lucky is benefiting from a false narrative. If half of the SEC is ranked in the top 20 before the season starts because of predetermined biases, then wins against undeserving opponents give you undue credit.

I'm surprised that MSU and Auburn didn't move up this week with those two quality losses yesterday.

Ooooooooh, I LOVE the smack talk. Auburn did fold. They aren't used to the big games. And I'll even admit that Bama folded last year against OK, for one reason or another. This is a new year & a new team. Bama is fighting for their spot & I think they needed to see how hard this was going to be because I think alot of the players (& the fans) believed that simply because they are Bama, they are going to win. Period. They have forgotten, to some degree, what it means to have to really earn that spot. They did it this year & they are easily the best team in NCAA football.

As for Nick Saban, I've never really been a fan either, but I like Bama despite him.

And, most scenarios that I have seen on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNOCHO, they all have Bama as #1 because they have not struggled like the Noles to win games against non ranked teams.

Well, lucky is probably not the right word. But they have struggled a great deal this year, allowing too many non ranked teams to hang around in games they should have never struggled in for them to be in the argument as #1 in the current system. Yes, I get it. They haven't lost tho. You would be right to make that argument. But as far as how good they are? If they played Alabama yesterday, they would have been blown out. And further, I believe that games like yesterdays are only strengthening their resolve to win games.

I agree that the system they have now, not using the computers to decide who is #1 & so on is terrible. There are too many variables involved that people, fallible people, miss. The computers would probably still have FSU #1 simply because they haven't lost...yet.

Yes, Auburn has 4 losses. They also are one of the top rushing teams in the NCAA. They are also our top rival. We, as Redskins fans, know all about how a bad team can give their good rival fits. The Auburn/Alabama rivalry is similar in nature to ours with the Cowboys, as I've stated. Using a 44 point marker against Auburn is not a tell all. And if you really want to use that, then you need to also add the 55 points we scored in response. You may score 44, but we'll score more.

BTW, that last 7 points was in junk time (last 24 seconds of the game).

Mind you, up until recently, the SEC was dominating EVERYONE in NCAA football. The SEC won 7 of the last 8 National Titles. And it wasn't until, really, last year when they started kinda falling off a little. The ACC took a real upswing last year & are probably going to continue that, but don't sleep on the SEC just yet. Not one conference in all of NCAA football in recent years has accomplished even close to what the SEC has.

But, ok...I'll bite. PRESENTLY, Alabama is #1, FSU is #3 behind a team that has their 1 loss to an unranked team.

And honestly, you don't want to do that because that will be 8 more years of SEC dominance that you will, apparently, HATE. Stay in the present. Y'all are on the way up. 2006, the only conference in NCAA football that mattered was the SEC. Right now, PRESENTLY, FSU still has a chance to win another title. I'm not personally convinced they'll do it if they face the Tide, but they play the game for a reason. So, in all my goffiness & smack talking, I recognize that anything can happen.

Umm...you do realize that ESPN owns the SEC network so they have a stake in ensuring the SEC has high rankings.

Yeah, I read an article on that earlier today. Didn't realize just how one sided ESPN has been about that. Not sure really what to think, because there are arguments on both sides. The most popular being, are they ranked high because they are that good or are they that good because they are ranked that way?

the thing I think that throws a monkey wrench into it all is Oregon. There has been a real push for them to be in the top 4 & I don't agree with it. Bama, FSU, & Baylor or TCU & maybe Ohio State...I can't see Oregon for any reason. But I don't know how much influence ESPN has on that, so...

Yeah, as much as I dislike Ohio State, they should be ahead of TCU or Baylor...definitely Oregon.
