Hey folks, a very close friend approached me last night with some questions about a video / photo project. The family owns the restaurant we are more then just patrons, but part of the family so to speak. Anyhow, Edmundo (Eddy) is one of those people that has been through so much in his lifetime, and a hell of a story teller. He he'll often sit through half the meal with us. When he wants to have a drink, he always strolls over with something good.
She asked me if there is a way to get video of him when he sits with customers, which at this place, he comes by every table to say hello to the patrons... very old school. I was thinking about something like a video servalance system, with a number of cameras in each room of the restaurant, but the problem is audio. We need to have the audio of him telling his stories. Asking people to pull out a phone and take some video while he visits with them isn't a great option. He doesn't always have on his apron when out on the floor, so we can't put a bug on him.
He's done it all, and we want to canonical his stories told by him.
I need input on how we can pull something like this off, without breaking the bank. I'll hopefully be speaking with a friend tomorrow who's in the electronic business.
