1. Dumbed-down the offense to teach the QB what a pro-style offense is, and how to read coverage in the secondary. Isn't that what you want him to do? Can he somehow make him learn faster?

2. Defense. We have no idea who kept Haslett. I suspect it was the FO to save money. We brought some new studs in.

3. Special Teams. From worst in the league to basically fixed. Kai had a rough week though.

Teaching RG3 how to be a pro quarterback is going to take time. Not days or weeks.

the coach is accountable for the performance on the field, his staff...and above all else...the record.

this one has failed. as noted.....he has had five times the opportunity of others.

the performance on the field is no better...maybe worse...than under Spurrier, Zorn, et al.

time to sack the whole lot. we shouldn't wait. clear all the fluff - coaching staff, roster, FO. start from scratch. the current group has very clearly failed. I cannot see one redeeming reason that prevents arrival at this conclusion.

yes...insofar as you know who is visiting this web site. but that doesn't make Coolie immune from agendas....now does it?

while the analysis is good.....I suspect he was also teaching RGIII a lesson...at least in his mind. the whole analysis was dedicated to undermining ONE player in a game in which many played very badly. per previous...he tipped his hand with the semi-rant abt confronting RGIII in the locker-room were he still on the team. which is funny in some ways. Jeepers Mr Wilson....I don't seem to recall Mr Coolie speaking out when he was on the team and the many others were leaking trash to the media. Coolie just went down several rungs on my respect ladder. his analysis was unbalanced and therefore the intent can be called into question. since he was part and parcel of many failed teams.....I see no reason for investing him with any special regard also. what was it he encouraged his ex-wife to do? you know...the one he blogged incessantly about (while perhaps now advising RGIII to tone down his public face). if we're gonna chase pigs in the trough....might as well look at em all!

I'd be interested in hearing who you think would even be interested in coming to an organization that can't seem to get their act together from the top on down & every coach that comes thru here has basically a year to turn this organization around or the fans are screaming for them to be replaced & they are in danger of either losing their job or their mind? Eventually, the money isn't going to be worth the drama & headache.
 
Oh yeah, a lot of asshats 'report' our news,

Quite a few years ago, during the slow modem, BBS, text only era, I stumbled into a 'media only' place.

Witnessed amazingly profane banter by a bunch of cocksure anonymous asshats who just knew they were more important than what they covered.

Now it's easier to tie a name to some of them as they become bolder, at least the language has toned down some....... guess they're going after a younger crowd.

Yeah, Cooley played football for the team he is analyzing. Outside of that, the extent of his knowledge of what is going on now in that locker room limited to the press. On top of that, he is sharing his opinion. as the rest off us do. The ONLY reason he is on the radio is because of his time with the team, That's it. Otherwise, he would be here opining with the rest of us about everything.

On the one hand, Gruden, the guy you've been swearing was going to take us to delerious heights, starting this year, is a near God. On the other hand, he's a spineless, lying "yes man".

Calling Jason Reid an exception is being very very kind. I can think of other descriptions. That was the best news conference RGIII has done since he got here IMO - say it on the field son.

Yeah but he still knows a lot of the guys on this team. I hear him talk about him and Paulsen hanging out together all the time. He has information we don't have, or have access to.

That's good to know. I hope he is working with him. Paulsen is a decent TE. Maybe Cooley has a little to do with that.

I've heard some talking heads complain about Griffin's "We are preparing for San Francisco." I know the media hates it but it's the proper response after this shit storm. There is no explaining it away and really who care's whose fault it is? Any team that loses a must win home game against a one win team is looking to get raked over the coals...The most disappointing thing with me looking at Griffin is his lack of savvy when dealing with the media...

I hear ya fan. But I don't agree that should happen or that will happen. Danny I think likes Gruden and he'll give him a fair chance. Danny knows full well that our defense is horrible and no coach can win with this defense anyways. Plus, the QB situation is untenable. He has not had a fair chance at bringing RGIII along, RGIII was way behind his first year coach's game plan due to once again injury. That's why RGIII won't be pulled as the season is lost and Gruden just wants to see some improvement from RGIII. He'll give him the chance to show it. By benching RGIII, that would be sending a signal Danny doesn't want to see. Because there is no viable alternative to RGIII. The backups are not the future. It's RGIII or someone else not currently on the team. This year is a lost cause, but Gruden wants Griffin to get his confidence back with a couple wins and show some improvement. He has to play for that to happen. Unfortunately for the fans, we might have to accept another debacle of a season next year before some hard decisions are made.
