2014 NCAA Football Season

McD, to me, his behavior is indicative of really bad judgment. He certainly could be incredibly successful at the NFL level, but I wouldn't want to waste a valuable high first round draft pick to find out. To me, the Q B position more than any other requires good judgment. How many million dollar arms and ten cent heads have we seen around here (Jeff George? The Sexy?)? If he is displaying such poor judgment BEFORE he gets to the League, do you really have faith he will study up instead of chasing girls or partying?

I don't. And I would be royally pissed at our FO if they wasted a valuable first round draft pick when we have so many holes to find out.

Jimbo said he never instructed Jameis to stay in the locker room. He was surprised when he ran out, but I believe more upset with the equipment manager who put his jersey and helmet in the locker like usual.

It was definitely a little stupid, but probably not with bad intentions. Showing unity, rah rah rah.....

Those are all good points Goal. We do have several members on our coaching staff who have gotten DUIs in their mid-thirties however.

I can't take standing up and yelling in a cafeteria at the age of nineteen very seriously.

I'm just a little surprised at how badly espn is all over this kid.

We have shoplifting (even if the manager said it was okay) and the cafeteria incident. You would think he had committed capital murder.

(I too have ridiculously cute kids, but don't love them as much as El loves his kids...)

I'm sure there's more than a little schaddenfeude going on with ESPN and the public at large, I'll grant you that. But the kid has shown remarkably poor judgment and has brought an awful lot of this on himself.

Does being a member of the Clete Club also mean she wanted to get sexually assaulted? Or is there another club for that?

Right, and you speak like you "know" it was an assault.

I don't seek the company of bank robbers because I know there is danger involved.

If...and I say "if" she was assaulted, it did not help that she put herself in a position to be assaulted. She is not blameless if her goal was to get pregnant by a football player.

My idea is we just stop and not get in to a fight over things none of us have a stake in.

Again, you're making the claim this girl was sexually assaulted when the evidence in the case says otherwise. Nothing that has been released proves otherwise (And the D.A. "leaked" info purposely), no matter how hard the media continues to drum it up...more and more as the Noles get closer to a possible repeat.

She put herself in a position to have sex with a football player to get try to get herself pregnant. That's what happened, they had sex and she was on record saying that was what she wanted. Are you going to tell me this young lady, who had a goal in mind to try to get pregnant by a football player, all of a sudden did not want sex with the most popular football player on campus? You do not know Goal, but you still want to argue in her favor. Sometimes Goal, victims are not the victims they say they are...remember the Duke Lacrosse situation?

Every time they are in a big game, ESPN and their minions will do anything and everything they can to make Winston look worse than he is. The kid is a friggin knucklehead, he's a big dummy (in the poor decisions dept), but he does not appear to be the devil everyone says he is, from all accounts I get from my friends/contacts at my alma mater. He's no saint, not saying he is...I think it's somewhere in the middle.

I can only imagine what my college days would have been like at 21-22 years old...oh wait! I do! I failed out because I was more interested in partying, booze and sex. SHOOT ME!

I couldn't possibly disagree more. The evidence suggests otherwise? Nonsense. Some of it might be circumstantial but there is PLENTY of evidence to corroborate her story. Where the disconnect comes is from the TPD who blatantly tried to railroad her and get her to go away with little to no investigation of her claims. Getting pregnant from a football player, a little crass but really nothing wrong with that. I'm having a hard time figuring out how her intentions -WHATEVER they may be- take away her ability to say no at ANY time.

I'm also getting tired of hearing that what this kid did wasn't a big deal. Even if you toss the sexual assault case from the argument, the kid has done MULTIPLE things that show he's a clueless jerkoff with little to no regard for the law and a record sized ego that allows him to think he's above it. Good kids don't pull the crap he has so enough of the persecution nonsense. He gets heat because he deserves it and asks for it with his actions.
