ES regular... pleased to be here

BGO - The road less traveled
Same here. Also an ES regular, although I decided to try on a new name here. Over there, I'm "Dallsux" but wanting to get away from a moniker that associates me more with hate & anger than with loyalty to my Skins. Pretty much stands to reason, if you're a Redskins fan, you hate Dallas.

Anyway, I'm thrilled to be here. It looks familiar, yet new. I like it. I also like seeing some of the old, well respected faces that I came to enjoy so much over there. I look forward to many discussions about out beloved Redskins here!

LOL That thread is going to be the end for many of us oldheads over there I think. That is exactly what led me here as well. Funny. Once I started seeing some old familiar "faces", I knew this was a good place to be.

Ok, thru all the changes that went on over there & in my own life, I missed a lot, I guess. I know I went AWOL for about a year & when I came back, you guys were vapor & I had no idea where everyone went. I asked TK to change my name because I underwent a spiritual transformation & couldn't deal with my name anymore (I used to be CowboyzSuckAzz-this is the only time anyone will ever see that name again & this once as a point of reference only). I went looking around, but all the changes....all the changes, my head was spinning. I couldn't make heads or tail of the place anymore. I was getting lost in threads before they were even an hour old. Kudos to those who still moderate over there. They have their work cut out for them nowadays.

All that said, I'm only asking because I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to find it & since I have the attention span of a small dog after a pot of coffee, I won't remember to look later. Also, I'm trying to boost my post count :betterwink: :tongue: j/k So, if you don't mind me asking, what happened over there, Boone?

BTW, I LOVE that I can use the smilies again! I may never go back now! :claps:

Postcount? Oh yeah I never even noticed we had a Postcount over here. I guess it doesn't really matter!
 
Over there it often seemed that post count was a personal challenge to many. Here it just doesn't matter, it defines absolutely nothing. Here we have, lets say, some prolific posters but no one who epitomizes the 'diarrhea of the keyboard' syndrome that was so prevalent there.

Yeah, I remember the "one word bandits" that really had nothing to add to any conversation. Just wanted to get their postcount up so they could get the next avatar. To be fair though, some of the earlier cast members, as I recall, used that as a form of elitism. (Look at my postcount. I matter. You don't.) People that I don't think were around too much longer after that, but I do seem to remember certain people kind of taking that attitude with newbs. But, off the bat, I don't get that feeling about this place at all.

PS-I was wondering what happened to you. It's definitely nice to reconnect with old friends. Thanks for the welcome. :cheers:

Ok, I've thought about it and this list now passes into the history books. It will no longer be posted as it has run the course and become stale. This was good for some laughs, but now it is on to other things. :)
