Why are you sighing with relief - I'm not following?

Hatcher had 11 sacks last year. He averaged less than 3 for the 7 prior years.

I'm not that sure he'll add very much to this defense.

Sacks are the only measure of worth? Obviously - he's coming off a career year in that department. The way you hear it, it's as if that's a bad thing. Hatcher is a major defensive upgrade - period.

Multiple reports came in quickly that he couldn't walk, and he had two guys carry him to a cart. He was then driven off the field.

A back is no laughing matter, but probably better than a knee, etc.

It definitely puts things into perspective during preseason. And an injury to D Hall would really hurt us.

It could just be someone trying to get famous. It's probably not a big deal at this point, and might even be expected.

Of course it's not a big deal. We've all seen plenty of Kirk Cousins. He has played serviceably well, and very well occasionally. He's also come in and looked pretty ineffective. I think Kirk is a starting QB down the road, but I've never seen any evidence he can take a game over. Robert has shown that ability. The only part of that little 'snippet' that I agreed with is that it will take more time for Griffin to adjust his game away from the read option to a more traditional one. I also think it's possible that Cousins just picks things up more quickly (such as a brand new offense) and Griffin is a more instinctual player. I'm glad you didn't 'start a thread' on that driveby - it's just someone trying to stir the pot.

I don't know about that. All it takes is one back injury and you quickly realize how every single freaking movement in your body seems to be connected to your back.

Oh I'm aware of that from personal experience. But I'd rather hear back, then knee for example.

I don't know about that Fear. I mean, you got Seastrunk out there playing through a foot injury and Thompson's sitting out...again. Who do you want on your team when the chips are down?

What I said typically applies to solid veteran and/or star players, as opposed to borderline players who are deserately trying to earn a roster spot.
