even though the case is still being appealed and we have a chance to have it reversed the punishment has already happened.

So, then what? If we win do we get an extra 15mil next year to sign players?

Still, I guess I wouldn't mind at least some form of acknowledgement that what the league did was illegal. Which with a $1.25 will buy me a cup of coffee.

No, the Redskins won't see any kind of compensation IF this case is ultimately decided in favor of the NFLPA.

However, there could be serious consequences for those who had a major hand in the collusion. It's anyone's guess how the punishment would be doled out.

But yes, this is much, much bigger than what happened yesterday.

I'm not liking this... At a time when we may need all the backing from the league and other owners on the name issue, pissing in the punch bowl can't help.

if the case ultimately goes against the league result in an award of damages approaching or exceeding $1 billion dollars.

I think so. Probably along the lines of the 'what if' teams don't spend enough to their cash floor (not cap) of what gets redistributed to players on the roster at the time. Probably why the union is interested in pursuing it.
