Random Commanders Thoughts

I just found out that one of my neighbors is a die hard Redskins fan, and he went to JMU, in Harrisonburg the area I am from. Small world!! I feel like I have just found an allie behind enemy lines! That is only the 3rd Redskins fan I have found in the Akron area.

There's more than a few of us JMU-ers in Ohio now. I got the opposite, had a Cowboy fan move in next door to me. :)

dear nfl gods

please spare me the home prime time games when the schedule is released.

please.

i beg of you. state the required sacrifice, it will be so.

so.... rumors are open thursday night giants at home on the 25th (**** you football gods)

Once, #Redskins boss G.P. Marshall didn't like the schedule + erased it from a blackboard. Nobody had copied it down. Had to do it all over.

Skins play in New York on December 14.

I prefer it that way... especially with the last 2 games being at home. I like the way the sched came out. 2 out of the first 4 weeks we'll be potentially facing rookie QBs.. a 2nd half bye week, and the last 2 division games being at the end of the season AND they are at home... we got gifted.

Come January, if it comes down to us or them getting in... i'd rather be playing them, then them be playing a lame duck team or a team that's already locked up a spot.

week 13:

Eagles @ Cowboys (Thanksgiving day)
Redskins @ Colts
Giants @ Jaguars

week 14:

Cowboys @ Bears
Rams @ Redskins
Giants @ Titans
Seahawks @ Eagles

week 15:

Redskins @ Giants
Cowboys @ Eagles

week 16:

Eagles @ Redskins
Giants @ Rams
Colts @ Cowboys

Week 17:

Cowboys @ Redskins
Eagles @ Giants

This division is gonna get crazy starting week 13

there are three things i pray for every year before the schedule comes out. in order:
1- close against dallas at home
2- open against dallas at home
3- no prime time games.

3 never happens. 1 and 2 obviously can't both happen in the same year. we got dallas at home to close the season. when both teams are good, and that game means something, that's the best sporting event i've ever been to.

for the love of god i hope both teams are solid enough so that game means something this year.

I don't know, I'm perfectly fine with Dallas sucking so badly that we pound them into the dirt....

Hah. Yeah. Obviously that's an acceptable scenario as well :)

Being at those games is like nothing else I can explain though... the end of 2012 was absurd.

Ugh
Yeah. And the traffic getting there. I normally just say screw it and take the say off and leave at like noon

Wore my Redskins polo into work today for casual Friday. This is a great way to weed out the Cowboys fans in your office!! Turns out the IT guy is a Cowboys fan, however, so there goes my name way down the priority list.

Snyder is on the schedule committee so I wonder why we keep getting screwed with these short week back to back road games :(

The other way to look at this is that we get the longest possible break before the Seattle game without having a bye the week before. We have some good stuff in this schedule to go with the "bad".

which short week? @ Dallas then @ Minnesota? That's not horrible considering it could have been @ SF or @ Indy on a short week.... the defense doesn't need to install a gameplan that week, it's gonna be "Stop A.P." lol

I'm concerned with Philly/New York, then Seattle/Arizona. Not back to back, but a rough stretch of short weeks.
